vintagedude88 16
Nice! So is that a brake or a hider? I hope its considered a brake because I can't have hiders.
jswledhed 57
Great. Now I have t choose between that and your copy of the Russian 10-slot hider. +1 to pics of it threaded on the barrel.
nalioth 405
Nice! So is that a brake or a hider? I hope its considered a brake because I can't have hiders. For the umpteenth time A muzzle brake has vertical slots. A flash hider has horizontal slots. ETA: Thread name edited, thanks mods. Cobra 76 two 2,677
nalioth do you absolutely have to be so damned anal?
nalioth 405
nalioth do you absolutely have to be so damned anal? Well, Cobra, I'm sorry if you don't like me helping keep people from potential felonies. Putting a flash hider on your gun is a felony in some states. I'd sure hate any of our members to go to jail over a miscommunication in a forum thread. Edited June 10, 2009 by nalioth
kresk 10,063
This thread should have more aptly been named "phantom flash hider for the Saiga-12". It is, now.
cscharlie 107
Very nice. I've been waiting for someone to market one with the helical design for a long time. Any idea how much it reduces flash? May I make one small suggestion? Edited June 10, 2009 by cscharlie

Scott When cutting the pointed shapes in the end of the FH, it seems if each point is positioned directly infront of the slot, it would add strength to the design since that portion is wider than the ares between the points. Also, considering the shotgun would be using lower preasure, I wonder if cutting the slots at more of an angle then the model for rifles would aid in the gasses burning inside the FH. Azrial 1,091
That is a very professional looking piece of steel! Good job!
shades_of_grey 1,092
Looks great, scott!! I still think that a Polychoke makes the most sense for a S-12 muzzle attachment, (unless you're actually breaching doors with your shotgun in a professional capacity), but I gotta admit, that new flash hider turned out well.
