Elkhound 91
Minnie the cat gets a "stay of execution." Wow, our Vet is awesome. I took Minnie the cat in to be put down. She needs a lot of medical care and attention which we cannot provide. The Vet asked if she could adopt Minnie and see if she could give her a bit more time on this earth. Can't argue with that - it is a win-win situation. I am glad and relieved. The Vet just won serious brownie points with me. I am very pleased with this turn of events. We will miss Minnie, but as long as she stays alive, we can visit her at the vet. Cool! Thanks everyone for the kind words and thoughts. WJ
zakmatthews 14
That's pretty neat. Sounds like the best possible outcome given the situation.
waynebar 52
I just saw this new post, that's great news. It sounds like you have a really dedicated vet. One of my cats that died last year was diabetic. I was able to prolong his life by six years by giving him two shots of insulin per day. I hope things work out for her. 22_Shooter 1,560
Congrats! That's pretty cool of the Vet to do. I worked at a Vet's office for a day, and they had a live-in cat that, IIRC, ended up there under similar circumstances.

Elkhound 91
Thanks guys. It was a bit weird not having her in the house last night, but it still felt better than it would have been with the other result. WJ

No, that wouldn't hurt if one did it right. Depending on the Lord's view on the subject however, the after-effects might suck.
