waynebar 52
This is one of the most insane things I have ever seen. I tried to prove this a hoax, but can't seem to find any additional information anywhere. What do you gentlemen think? http://wearechangecoloradosprings.org/blog/2009/05/international-treaty-gives-foreign-troops-identity-of-american-gun-owners/

What do you gentlemen think? http://wearechangecoloradosprings.org/blog/2009/05/international-treaty-gives-foreign-troops-identity-of-american-gun-owners/ Something to keep an eye on, but nothing as dramatic as portrayed at the above link... From the NRA: [CIFTA] does include language suggesting that it is not intended to restrict "lawful ownership and use" of firearms . Despite those words, the NRA knows that anti-gun advocates will still try to use this treaty to attack gun ownership in the U.S. Therefore, the NRA will continue to vigorously oppose any international effort to restrict the constitutional rights of law-abiding American gun owners. So the NRA is opposing it from a slippery-slope perspective, not because of any specific provisions within the treaty.

Yeah, but change a law here & there (like make a traffic ticket a misdemeanor), & soon very few are "law abiding" gun owners.
Raoul_Duke 113
Yeah, that sounds like a great idea! Let's make a big list of gun owners in America for the "safety" of the rest of the world. Why didn't our forefathers think of that?!?!?
camon 233
You know, at first thought you think this isn't that big of a deal. And then I remember something very important, the Bill of Rights. What does that have to do with it? Well 222 years ago the Constitution was ratified. There was a huge argument as to adding the Bill of Rights the argument being that some felt it necessary to have on paper and others believing that they did not need to be included as they should be considered given inherent rights. Can you imagine what our lives would be like without the Bill of Rights today? These politicians take every chance they can get as it is now to screw the American people.

zenmetsu 17
Look at it this way... if the other countries get this list as well, then all the mexicans will know which houses have guns and which do not... it works both ways! Now gun owners can be relatively certain that their anti-gun neighbors will be invaded instead.
