Kiddjubbz 6
Anybody in this forum know of any potential employers or anybody hiring in the Atlanta, GA area? I have an associates degree in Audio Engineering, and a Bachelors in Music Business. I'm interning at a local studio right now but it is a unpaid internship that can last up to 6 months. I'm looking for any job to help with the bills.
BpS12 512
Have you ever mucked out a horse stall? It's one of those jobs that FEW ever think about and is readily availble(though low paying) most of the year. Check with the local Stables. It's not hard work if you don't mind a bit of light physical labor. Wish I could help more, Mikel
chupa 34
I feel your pain Kidd, I have only worked 23 days since April.
Kiddjubbz 6
This Economy sucks. Especially for a recent college grad looking to start a life!
Superhawk138 202
I do commercial Heating and Air in the Atlanta area and we are absolutely dead right now. There are some larger jobs on the horizon starting up soon but for now some of us are sitting at home right now.
HOWARD COSELL 155
If I remember correctly, you can apply to be a subsitute teacher if you have an AA degree. Not much $, but it might help keep you afloat. You probably have already checked these sites: http://www.careerbuilder.com/default.aspx?cbRecursionCnt=1&cbsid=99ccd1bc096745c7b1a5142f7865cb88-310485250-J0-5 http://www.theladders.com/ Keep an eye on them for they can change daily. It's all about being in the right place at the right time. Also, check your local Able Body location. Ever think of doing porn? Sorry, just trying to make light of it. Sometimes laughing can help with the stress. Good luck Bro! Edited November 2, 2009 by THE RIPPER

Kiddjubbz 6
Ragnar Danneskjöld I am currently running a in house production company/studio for recording and making instrumentals. Our artist is releasing his album around New Years time but it is all funded by me and my partner. All though it is very close to being big it still does not pay the bills. Any extra cash is extremely valuable. Thanks for the suggestion!
Spartacus 1,619
UPS and other carriers have hubs in Atlanta. They often hire additional seasonal help.
Kiddjubbz 6
Thanks for the suggestion spartacus. I applied to both UPS and FED EX and am currently waiting a call back.
cscharlie 107
How bout making a holiday video and adding music to the background, like the "video fire place" with Christmas music? Or maybe shoot video out the window of a nice country scene during a snowfall with deer grazing and little rabbits and kids playing...and add music You get the idea. I thought it might be a small project that you could do on the side to bring in a few bucks while waiting for the big project to pay off.
Paulyski 2,227
Try hospital security. It is a field where you will learn how to gently take charge of delicate situations & learn to effectively deal with all types. It is not like regular security jobs in the aspect that you have a much greater level of responsibility... Especially in catastrophic situations because large hospitals are a vital part of societal infrastructure. It pays around $12-$14 per hour to start. They like degrees (just to show that you'r educated), but do not require them. You DO need a drivers licence & good driving record because you patrol at times. They don't want people with security experience though because they train you differently. Hospitals have very dynamic & sensitive security needs, & they want to teach the right way to handle fragile situations without escalating them. This would be a great experience to learn how to handle all sorts of situations that you may encounter in life. I love the group of guys that I go to "battle" with on occasion. We depend on each other when it counts. These guys are not "boner rent-a cops" by any means. Stress your people skills when applying. DO NOT ENTER THIS FIELD IF YOU ARE INSECURE OR A BULLY. Good luck! Edit: Also hospitals aren't going anywhere, so it is a great recession job. Edited November 3, 2009 by Paulyski

Azrial 1,091
I have read this post several times, without replying. Honestly, Atlanta is a tough job market right now! You have my prayers and I will continue to ponder on this matter to try and be of some help.
