Front Post Krebs Ghost Ring Sight

I just installed the Krebs Ghost Ring Sights and was wondering if anyone has found that changing out the front sight post to a colored post has helped. If so any suggestions on what to use and where to find one? Are all the thread sizes the same on AR posts?

Yeah, its a standard AR sight post. Any one should fit. Personally, I like the KNS crosshair post. Used with the krebs ghost ring rear aperture it gives you kind of a "double-ring" effect which works great for fast-aquisition but still has the crosshairs for more carefully placed shots. YMMV.

I only have the rear Krebs ghost ring being used with the MAA front sight base, but it uses an AR post as well. I'm looking at Trijicon's night sight post.

+1 for KNS crosshair, though I'm not sure that's what the OP is looking for. Just about everyone who uses mine asks about it.

Here is a thread i started about the crosshair front sight post and some opinions from folks that have and havent used it. I like it and think it would work pretty well, but it costs around $45, just for the post. Edited February 20, 2010 by Mullet Man

Thanks, MM, I missed that thread last summer. I guess when you get down to crosshairs, people's eyes can work differently. Personally, I find them useful when shooting targets at the range, like Gas Giant in the other thread, and I just don't notice them much in the field. But I guess some people (probably the ones with better eyes than mine) find them obstructive.
