Konad 2
I really hate to bring this up but I am having a hell of a time finding a break down of exactly what is needed to mount a AR style stock such as a Magpul MOE or CTR like this on a converted Saiga 12. I am aware that a adapater is needed, which one? Is it a drop in install? What tube do I need, do I need any thing else besides the tube itself? It looks like the tubes require some kind of spring kit. I wish there was a newbie sub forum because I would post it there, but I'm pulling my hair out here trying to figure it out. I have searched heavily. If someone could just point me in the direction of a affordable adapter and tube kit that would work with a Magpul MOE or CTR I would be very greatful. Konad 2
Perfect guys, thanks a ton. Just to make it that much more difficult I'm doing a Dark Earth theme on my Siaga so I'll see if they can swap it around haha. Oh boy this is fun and aggrivating. ahart 0
I did the opposite. I first got the buffer tube. And after knowing that the only one I could get, was a mil spec one (29 millimeters diameter) then I bought a CTR with the 3/4" cheeck riser. Some advises... If you want to use the band sight or the iron sight, then with the stock as it comes, you need nothing else. If you install a fast fire style sight over the chamber, then you will need the lowest cheeck riser (1/4"). And if you place a scope over a floated picatinny rail, the the proper cheeck riser is the 3/4" one, like the one I use in my shotgun (see the attached pic).
Konad 2
Called CSS and they didn't pick up, 10 minutes later Greg called me back even though I left no message or call back number. I purchased a aluminum tube from him and a Commerical MOE from another site as he didn't have what I was looking for. I couldn't be happier with his customer service. This is what I purchased from him http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-180/Saiga-12-CAA-Collapsible/Detail?sfs=b621ab26 Edited June 25, 2010 by Konad
