crackback 135
If anyone has an S12 flash hider (and if this already has not been done), could you make a vid to eval its effectiveness for the rest of us? The DPH Russian clone and the Tromix device come to mind. Edited August 1, 2010 by 690gr

Hey 690gr, that pic that cobra posted is a 3'' slug fired through a russian clone flash hider. Thanks PVT Pablo and Cobra.... looks like I'll be switching to the polychoke since my flash hider isn't worth a damn....
shades_of_grey 1,092
...I'll be switching to the polychoke since my flash hider isn't worth a damn.... Good idea. Here's a slug muzzle flash from my S-12, fired through a non-slotted, (shorter), Polychoke: It's very comparable to the muzzle flash produced by a S-12 using a "flash hider". Flash hiders have much greater effect when used on rifles, the same is even more true for muzzle brakes. Because of the very different nature of shotguns, the most effective muzzle device for them is a choke. My advice is to switch to a non-slotted Polychoke. It's fairly short, easy to clean, and a very versatile muzzle device, with a quick hand-adjustable choke setting; everything from a reverse choke to "xtra-full", (very tight). Here's a pic of my S-12 with the Polychoke installed: Edited August 2, 2010 by post-apocalyptic
