essohbe 47
Do I need a disconnector spring or does the Tapco FCG come with one? (or can't I just use the old one?)
paprotective 362
you can use the old one if need be.. it does not come with one.. They are usual $1.50 or so.. try not to lose the old one when prying the orginal FCG apart. Al
Klassy Kalashnikov 1,393
Take your factory disconnecter and chuck it in the vise. Use a large drill bit and drill the head off of the gray hollow pin that goes through the center of it. Only need to go like 1/8" deep, then just push/punch that pin out, and you can re-use the original disconnecter spring. Just watch out it doesn't fall/fly out and get lost forever! Or you can just order a new one: http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-166/Tapco-Saiga-Rifle-12/Detail
Paulyski 2,227
Mine wasn't pined in. It came out without much fuss. (maybe pressed around a pin, but just twist the spring while pulling) Do be sure to read this important recall thread though.
