gtnichols 51
Went to the range today, 100 yards. Had a good day. Been working on this rifle a year and finally,.. the best score I ever got. The one is not really a clover leaf, but I'll take it. Typical Golden Tiger, Light winds,... Also took out the new Daewoo todaY! Numbers are in inches.

gtnichols 51
It's nice to have a good day out, glad you did too,. 3 -9 x scope: Chinese Nc Star Bench rest with a Harris bi-pod 16" BBL Ttl with Bulgy Beer-can break inc. paprotective 362
Debating on alternating my 762x39 setup between the red dot I already have on it, and maybe a scope and another UTG mount.. That way I can really get it tuned with the scope for 'groups' and have the red dot for just 'plowin'
IndyArms 10,186
Is it me or does picture number one look like the round hit it sideways?? ( I know its too long to really be a keyholed round... just has the LOOK. LOL )

paprotective 362
I noticed it yesterday when I replied.. but figured a 762x39 wouldn't do that. I figured that where the target was maybe stapled at... Gas.. can you explain if thats 3-4 shots or just one that want as-tray??
IndyArms 10,186
I would say it is just how the paper ripped with multiple rounds hitting very close to each other in a row... you get a few in a row, and the paper will start to tear along the "grain"... you know how you can tear a paper one way nice and straight, and the other way is all jagged as hell... LOL LOL Take a picture of that 1st target with a LIVE ROUND laying next to the hole... ROFL! It would look perfect!!! REGARDLESS.... Not bad shooting with an AK... Thats for sure!! gtnichols 51
I about crapped my pants when I started getting these groups. This never happens for me. Here is the target with a Wolf x 39 round,.. The long tear is 4 - 5 rounds,I thought one might have key-holed too, but target inspection is clear there are multiple hits A buddy was spotting me and also confirmed. it's possible one did keyhole also, sure looks like that on the paper,..but this rifle has never done that before. Here are the 3 targets overall, you can see the results of me adjusting the scope, and the nice little 2 shot clusters consistent to the upper right of the smaller 3" x 3" target squares. cheap ass scope rattled loose near the end. IndyArms 10,186
LOL! I can see the individual hits on the one that LOOKS like a heyholed round... it is certainly MULTIPLE rounds... it just LOOKS like a keyholed hole is all.
gtnichols 51
Yes,... next table up was that you? Nice looking rifle! Was someone shooting a CAI Polish Tantal anywhere close by???????????
Paulry 50
If you look at the "keyholed" bullet diameter compared to the 7.62x39 cartridge next to it you will see a real size difference. Also the profile is a perfect 5.45x39 bullet, NOT a 7.62x39. Yup! Oh, Good shooting GAS! Edited November 11, 2010 by Fluid Power
