I had no idea they were so rare in the states or I would have taken a pic with it. Operated and shot beautifully. Action was as if on greased glass. It wasn't issued in large enough numbers to make any sort of top 10 list, probably too costly to equip a large army with it. Anyway for my .02 the Stg44 should have been maybe #4 if not #3 as it changed the world in the same manner as the contained metallic cartridge or the repeating rifle.
