redrider 0
if i weld the factory trigger to the factory fire control (disconnector, limiter, etc), would that be considered "manufactured" by me in the united states?
L5K 162
In my opinion, no. You cannot modify a foreign stock to count as a US made part as per the ATF, so modifying foreign triggers would probably also not count.
Shadoh 16
If you did that wouldnt the hammer hitting the disconnector cause the trigger to slam forward into your finger? Sounds painfull. I dont know about the manufactured question though.
YOT 3,743
Not a good idea. Your finger will hate it.

G O B 3,516
If you made a trigger group from a trunnion it would be US made, but you can NOT make a trigger into a trigger, or any other part into the same part. No matter how much work you do it is still the same part, and was foreign made. Much work on a Gewr-98 trigger to use in an AK is still a foreign made trigger, as long as the part retains it's function it retains it's place on 922R classification.
