Fargo 0
Hello and thanks in advance for all replies. I am wanting to DIY a NFA SBS Saiga 12 with an 8" barrel (is that the shortest you can go?). I have worked with building Krink's in other calibers but never a shotgun. Are there any tutorials out there so I can educate myself or is there no real differences to working on these shottys and rifles.
Bridis 319
You will have to move the gas block back and shorten the gas piston for starters. Have fun with that... 8" is the shortest I've seen done here. There are several good threads here about SBS'ing your S-12. Starting with this one. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/38318-sbs-technical-info-thread/ Check out some pics. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/45883-sbssbr-pictures/
WILLIEVEE 15
Check out the NFA section Bob Ash has some great information for DIY. Its not as easy as other type shotguns.
Bridis 319
That's link number 1 in my previous post.
gremlinx 20
It's not magic, it's just precise measurements and getting the gas system right. Bobs got a great compilation of hints. Nobody that I am aware of has put all the secrets together in a step by step build...
