mammynun 14
I shoot the Yugo too, followed by the GT when I can find it at a good price.... which seems to be harder to do over the last year or so.
poolingmyignorance 2,191
I've been using the tula "Hunting cartridges" in the white box.....wonder what they are. Seem to work just fine and at 1,000 for $199. I couldnt think of a reason not to. Chart does make me want to start buying some golden tiger here and there.
gregomega 929
I wonder what the differences are? They're similar in grain bullet case And bullet shape, why does one or the other have more velocity? Edited June 5, 2011 by AZG
BpS12 512
Anything on the RPK 23" barrel?
DrThunder88 912
Very interesting! I've been using slow stuff too. I don't know how much difference as 5% decrease in velocity would do in terms of the 7.62x39mm round, but it looks like good data. How many shots did you take with each ammo/rifle combination? I see Golden Tiger is both fastest overall and it looks like it had the least variability. Looks like a winner! Edited June 5, 2011 by DrThunder88
XXasdf 29
I'm kinda surprised at how little the velocity drops between the 16" and 11".

stnls1911 55
I wonder what the differences are? They're similar in grain bullet case And bullet shape, why does one or the other have more velocity? Could have more powder, some rounds are loaded hotter that others. I thought the grain was the amount of powder? Well more powder would explain it Thanks stnls1911
stnls1911 55
You are very welcome 124 grain, for example, is the weight of the bullet.
BpS12 512
Muzzle velocity of a 23" RPK is rated at 2444fps with the M43 round. Just in case you wanted to know, lol.
