MT Predator 2,294
Looking to buy this. Norinco SKS D Paratrooper, 16.5" barrel, folding stock, made by Norinco to accept AK mags. (Not a conversion). Comes with two Com Bloc steel 30 rounders. $450 sound fair?
stnls1911 55
Paratroopers are harder to find, plus it accepts AK mags from the factory. I think it's a good deal, go for it
TheDeacon 168
Agreed, grab it. I've been hunting one for about a year now.

akastormi 617
I agree they are getting harder to find.Nice rifle though. Folding stock? With or without original wood stock? Around here $450 is about top retail.
kresk 10,063
A bargain, especially if takes AK mags.
MT Predator 2,294
This is it. Not sure of the make of the stock. Mags lock up tight in it.
Shandlanos 1,470
Is that a model M or a model D? I don't know the big differences between the two, but everything aside from the stock looks identical to my model M.
Lone Eagle 839
Stock is either ATI or Ramline. Definitely not 922® compliant from the looks of the stock conversion. There were a few members on SKS Boards who had some original D/M stocks at one time. $450 is about the average price for one. If it were mine, I'd finish the 922® conversion and rock on with it. SKS is the only rifle I've seen just as reliable as the AK. Is that a model M or a model D? I don't know the big differences between the two, but everything aside from the stock looks identical to my model M. The only difference is the D was pre-ban, and still had the bayo/lugs, the M is post-ban and has been neutered. http://www.yooperj.com/SKS-23.htm
Shandlanos 1,470
The front end looks exactly like my model M, which certainly isn't set up for a bayonet.
cvasqu03 21
That is an SKS M in an ATI folding stock. $450 is a fair price for an M. Not a bargain price but a fair price. The only problem is that an SKS-M can not be put into a folding stock legally without doing a US parts conversion which is a bit trickier with an SKS than an AK (there are more listed parts on an SKS). I bought one in exactly this configuration (in an SKS folding stock) through gunbroker a few months ago for $305 plus shipping and transfer fees. I took off the folding stock and managed to find an SKS-M stock to restore it to its original configuration.
Shandlanos 1,470
Remember though, 922r compliance is the responsibility of the builder, not the owner - assembling it in that configuration is illegal, owning it is not.
Arik 565
Is this the same guy whos selling a Russina Mak for $150? Does he have anything else he wants to donate? The avg price I've seen on those type of SKS's is around $600, when they pop up. However most are original (no aftermarket US parts) Its almost like buying a smaller, early version of an SVD!..... kinda The only reason I havnt bought a SKS is because I have enough AKs and dont want to mess with stripper clips but that SKS for $450 I would buy
