slostang 80
Im staring to get a little bit of melted plastic inside the gas block restricting the puck movement a little. Any way to get it out? Solvent and a wire brush isnt cutting it. Edited March 11, 2012 by slostang
Foxtrot Oscar 37
Plastic? What kind of ammo have you been firing and how much?
The_Caged_Bird 474
It's from the shot cup or wad. You would have better chances of removing it, if it were hot. Boiling water works well, possibly a propane torch if you are sure of how to handle it. Otherwise you will have to chip away at it without screwing up the bore of the gas block...
poolingmyignorance 2,191
I just take a 12ga wire brush chuck it up in a drill and some wd40 to scrub it out. Works great..but it does sling oil everywhere.

I forgot about goofoff that stuff it awesome. I've been firing cheap federal bulk. I usually shoot 100-200 rds per cleaning. It's never fouled up to the point of failure.
