Where are you from Sharkbit? I'm off rt72 about 9 miles from I39. A pit would be awesome for a get together of locals of this board. All 3 of us in this thread are relativley close in area. I remember man thats why i was asking Sharkbit where he was and then said all 3 of us are in the same general area. I've never been to the Sycamore range, or any range up here for that matter. I think that place in Sycamore is also a gun store but i could be mistaken... EDIT; i take that back, i have been to "The Bullet Stop" in Plainfield for their pistol range before. All 3 of us in this thread are relativley close in area. that's awesome! I wish I could just step out my backdoor and cut loose! I live on the western side of St. Charles near 47 & 64. I've been to the Sycamore range, it's a private range but open to the public on weekends. It was $10 for the day. Decent outdoor range, but they don't allow rapid fire. They do allow centerfire rifles unlike some other nearby ranges.

What kind of distance do they have at the Sycamore range, >100yds? yeah, they have a 100yard, i think a 50, and a 25. They have a pistol area too that i think is about 15-20 yards. horatio 515
yeah i heard about buffalo pit closing too. something about lead on national park land nearby or some bull. ( a guy at a gun shop told me- so i KNOW the info is accurate ) FWIW i'd love to be able to take part in some kind of member/ local thing. As the resident FNG i don't know if i have to prove myself reliable or anything, but i'd still like to through my hat in the ring
