lws43 1
I posted in the sticky about drum mags but i dont know how much traffic that post will get so i figured id start another. My saiga isnt converted. can i legaly run a drum on it. Reading that sticky post id take it i can but have been told by others that 10 rounds is it. I live in MI if that matters. there are no state restrictions i know of here. My gun has las vegas arsenol stamped on it. I have added an aftermarket folding stock, forearm, gas adustor and spring and a flash suppressor to it if that matters. Edited June 21, 2012 by lws43
Bridis 319
If all those parts you've changed out are made in the USA then you should have no 922r compliance issues. So I would say that you could run the drum. There are capacity restrictions with regards to hunting. But for home defense or target shooting there are no restrictions in the state of FL. lws43 1
i guess then im a bit confused as to what the benifit is to converting. . Mine has a decent trigger pull. Not bolt action good but as good as any other shotgun i own.
poolingmyignorance 2,191
The benifit of converting is an improved trigger, better erogronomics for mag changes. Plus moving the wieght of the weapon over your fist allows for longer sessions with less fatiuge on your hands. Edited June 22, 2012 by poolingmyignorance

Live2Ride 12
If its an Arsenal, don't they also convert to the FCG? Do you have a pistol grip? or is this Las Vegas Arsenal you mention different?
lws43 1
My trigger group is still riveted and looks like the picture of a pre converted gun. It came with the black plastic pistol grip shotgun style stock.
KennyFSU 249
My trigger group is still riveted and looks like the picture of a pre converted gun. It came with the black plastic pistol grip shotgun style stock. That's not a true conversion. That's just a stock with a pistol grip attached; not nearly the same thing. Converted: Tapco stock:
lws43 1
never meant to imply that my gun was converted. The stock on mine is more like a shotgun stock. Its not a true pistol grip. Its the stock that most of these come with. My trigger is back futher like the second picture. So i wonder what the vegas arsonel did to this gun.
poolingmyignorance 2,191
Put their name on it and marked it up 20% over MSRP.
lws43 1
probably true but i got mine at a local gunshop that a guys wife brought in with a bunch of other guns he had after he passed. I got it with a 5 round mag and 3 10 rounders for 400 bucks out the door. It looked unfired and if he did shoot it id bet he only test fired it and stuck it in the safe.
