jcarter1974 5
Anyone else fix something like this? It's an HS Precision on a Remington 700P. Bondo filler? Marine Tex filler? Thanks
Squishy 1,149
I've never fixed something like this but what came to mind right away is JB Weld.
MT Predator 2,294
Maybe fiberglass it, sand it, repeat until flush? Then paint it.
G O B 3,516
JB Weld. Or 2 part epoxy. Sand and repaint.
gunfun 3,931
Nope. Plastic weld. Use a soldering iron and alcohol to prep the surfaces. Your OEM saiga stock should provide good donor material. There are lots of good youtube vids on the topic. I was just doing some of this a couple of days ago, and I can say that it is clearly superior to JB weld. Just build it up slowly at a temp that won't scorch, so that the plastics fully fuse. Build higher than you need too then sand down to flush.
Nathanb 5
http://www.urethanesupply.com/Flex-Filler-1/Flex-Filler-Tube-Kit/ that may be of service depending on what the stock is actually made of. Ive used this before in plastic body panels in cars etc for making custom pieces.

You can get quick steel at autozone for 6$ or you could use the green fiberglass resin or resin short strain
