King Cash 104
Hey guys! I ran across some locally and want to know if it would be ok to shoot in my XDm 5.25 & my 9mm AR (that has a Slidefire stock). I've read that a few guns have had issues with them because they're made for sub machine guns that fire from an open bolt, but I want to know if any of you have had personal experience with it because its a pretty good deal. rs51085 136
I don't know if it is the same ammo or not but a few years back I ran across some Pakistani 9mm and bought it from sportsman guide. It was made I think in the 50 s or 60 s, was brass cased and came in tins. It was slightly corroded when opened up. It was very cheap, like a round 10 cents a round. I tried it in three different guns, 2 glocks and a beretta. There was more rounds that miss fired than went off. Some rounds actually went off about a second after you pulled the trigger. It was very dangerous. While I don't know if it was MK 2 Z ammo, I do know that I will never buy Pakistani ammo again.
Shandlanos 1,470
Super hard, corrosive berdan primers, inconsistent but high pressure.Really shitty ammo. I had some of that garbage a few years ago, burned it up in a friend's Steyr MPI. The volume of the report varied greatly from round to round, and the cyclic rate seemed to be impacted by the ammo - up and down.
Matthew Hopkins 1,065
rule of thumb I always go by; no ammo coming from Pakistan or India is going to be good.
Shandlanos 1,470
I agree with the most part, aside from the absolutism. I've had good luck with both Indian and Pakistani .308.
King Cash 104
Thanks. Was asking but I've seen different opinions from ppl online but most is speculation
U.S. Pratorean 1,234
I have used this ammo and yes, the Mk2Z ammo is made for subguns. I use it in my UZI and MP5's and AR9mm. Mine is head stamped 1987 and is reportedly 124 gr. I have read some people have pulled their bullets and they weighed 115 gr's. I have had zero problems with it and it does seem to hit a little harder than the usual steel case I use and is around 1295 FPS. Accuracy is fine. I probably would not recommend and have not so far, used it in a pistol but it will be fine in your AR. Edited February 7, 2013 by U.S Praetorian
dayofruin 425
I saw some of this online a while back. So far the AR I put together has eaten anything I've fed it, but I'm not sure I'd want to buy ammo I could only use in one gun if I have others of that caliber. Just my personal preference.
