mancat 2,368
A student on a school bus disarmed a student who had a loaded gun. In return, he was placed on emergency suspension from school for "being involved in an incident involving a weapon." http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/03/02/high-school-student-disarms-gunman-gets-suspended/
thebuns1 4,323
Imagine that shit. Seems to me instead of having children know its ok to do the right thing, they simply shun them. Its all a part of Holders brainwashing agenda. This boy needs a pat on the back, not a retaliation.
akastormi 617
It is no longer an Educational system........ It's INDOCTRINATIONAL !
mancat 2,368
Has been going on a whole lot longer than Holder. I remember getting suspended in the early/mid-90s for getting into fights where I was defending myself against a bully. The principal even told me that he thought it was wrong, but it was district policy to do such things. It's all part of the "zero tolerance" BS that should be promptly removed from society.

True that. Just seems to be much more common place since he started pushing his shit from the mid '90s. It is bullshit. I suspect it will continue and worsen.
liberty -r- death 1,445
The kid should get a medal for valor. The public socialist school system is just wrong. We need to privatize schooling once and for all. The whole eveyone gets a trophy began when public schooling started and I have just about had an ass full. gunman1 1,753
Then when you try to take your kids out of the indoctrination and home school them, they fight you tooth and nail, even demonize you. The schools suck the Gov tit, they get paid for every hour your kid is there, and the feds are running the whole show
Remek 771
The rules, like no tolerance, and the no child left behind act, shoot for laziness and mediocrity. No child gets to excel, and all children are taught that standing out is a bad thing. We need, above all things, to fix our educational system. All that said, I hope the parents at least rewarded the kid for being a hero instead of a victim. I'd be on the phone to see if I could get any other public official to write a letter of commendation, or something.
Lone Eagle 839
I'll give you one better. My son takes TKD. He had to register with the office as a "lethal trained individual". Now, if he uses his skill, even to defend himself, he will be arrested no matter who started it. I told the principal to try it. He'd need two warrants.

coronet 131
Might as well get used to it. Where I work, if one person fucks up, the entire crew is fired. That's why we buy job insurance. The job insurance pays while you are off. If one person on the crew gets fired, everyone get's fired. Then it goes before a law board. If you are found innocent, you will receive back wages for time missed. It currently takes around 2 years before your case is heard before the law board. I was fired for 2 months. The day before I was scheduled to return to work, there was an investigation. I returned to work, and almost 2 years later was exonerated and full wages were repayed to me, and it was expunged from my record. They are just setting this kid up for the real world. Remek 771
That policy is also unfair. I get the idea that you know walking in, but I hope the salary makes up for it, otherwise I'd get out of that kind of job. I guess I have always worked to be autonomous, even as being employed by another. I am glad I did so, when I hear stuff like this.
coronet 131
Well, that's what happens when the Federal Gov gets involved in a private company. (NTSB) Best job I've ever had - couldn't imagine doing anything else. Everything about it rocks.
Shankspony 40
I can understand suspending everyone involved pending an investigation. If not all the facts are known, then why not? I completely agree with commending the boy. Give him a medal.

Beretty 37
I'm glad this story made it's way here. This is local to me and I still can't pick my jaw up off the floor.
