PvtPyle 0
I got a call from RAAC, they have left the bonded warehouse and are in route to RAAC. We should have them by the week of the 23rd. If you ordered one and want the Tromix conversion, they will go to Tony within 3 days.

Unknown Poster 5
The 9,3x53 is around the 30-30 or 35rem in performance. I was hoping top see the 9,3x62 or 9,3x64 thats closer to the 338win.mag.
ironhead7544 35
Unknown Poster: What ballistics are you able to find for the 9x53? The only thing I can find is a 232 grain bullet at 2300 FPS. Thats closer to the 358 Win. than 30/30 or 35 Rem.
Unknown Poster 5
Is it "9,3mm" or "9mm"? They did say 9,3mm at first and now its just 9mm? So its 9x53r now. With the 53mm case it doesn't sound like its too powerful? This rifle carries a $568 price tag too. Edited January 12, 2006 by Unknown Poster
G O B 3,516
Seems it's 9X53r AKA 9X54r. A 7.62X54r wildcat with a 9mm (.38cal) bullet. Designed for Moose/Bear hunting. G O B
Unknown Poster 5
Moose and bear hunting? What kind of power? My 338win.mag. has 4,000ft.lbs. @ the muzzle and 2,800ft.lbs at 200yds thats the muzzle energy of an '06. The power of the 9x53 has to be way less than the 9,3x62 it just sounds like its in with the 308, 30-06 and 7,62x54 again. I can't find any specs on it. I'm disapointed already. I may go shopping for another rifle. Edited January 13, 2006 by Unknown Poster
G O B 3,516
The velocity that I found was in mps. I think it was around 620. However the old memory banks aren't as reliable as they once were, and I can't find the website again. This is definitly NOT a magnum round, more of a heavy intermediate 50-150 yard large/dangerous game. G O B
Unknown Poster 5
I already have a 444marlin too. But i would like to see the specs on it but with information so hard to find how are we going to get ammo for it? I'm just browsing for I two bear guns right now for my sons so we can hunt bear together.(future hunt to Canada plus we hunt Vermont every year too) I like the 9,3x62 and 9,3x64 and i can load the same bullets so it maybe a plus too. I'm not sure yet though but i would like to stay in the 338winmag/375H&H range of power.
BattleRifleG3 16
Canada will not allow any AK based rifle into the country. That's what killed my plans for a big bore Saiga conversion.
Unknown Poster 5
I'm waiting to see the bolt action saiga's and as to what caliber they will come in. On the Izhmash site they do have the 9,3mm's listed in the bolts. I will need two in the near future so its who has the best quality vs. prices too. If they are too much i may have to go used for my sons.
