cav01c14 4
Hello there I picked this up at an auction for 375$ last fall. honestly the gun was a pain to get to do what I wanted but it does do what I want it to now. It started out as your plain jane Saiga 20 sport shotgun. Would stovepipe constantly so I decided to pull the gas block off and drill the four ports to .093. Added a tac 47 auto plug, polished the bolt slightly, moved the fcg back to where it was supposed to be, and a colt 1911 recoil spring. She runs pretty well even on the cheap stuff now. I refinished it in a burnt copper and I think it turned out really well. A head turner for sure. When I converted my gun I thought I could reuse the stock but found that out when I got it lol. Went to the gun store the only stock the had in was a bumpski and he wanted an insane price for it. After haggling a bit he gave me a price I couldn't turn down. This thing with the stock is so much fun. Puts a smile on my face every time I unload 10rds. I find it's much easier to control when using 2 3/4 shells then it is with 3in shells. Thank god I got it to run on the cheap ammo the way it eats through it now. Bout knocked my gf over lol Edited May 11, 2014 by cav01c14
Wagnikov 186
Sweet! Was the barrel unthreaded from factory?
Big John! 2,062
Sweet! Was the barrel unthreaded from factory? Nah... He spent time un-threading it. cav... That gun looks awful. All it's lacking is a set of fuzzy dice hanging from the gas block. Maybe if you toned it down a bit starting with the barrel???
MIKE20GA 11
Looks pretty cool to me ! Mine only has 3 holes and I have not drilled them out ............yet
cav01c14 4
Sweet! Was the barrel unthreaded from factory? Nope it was unthreaded when I got it. I wish it was threaded though sure would be nice. cav... That gun looks awful. All it's lacking is a set of fuzzy dice hanging from the gas block. Maybe if you toned it down a bit starting with the barrel??? Why does it look awful? To flashy lol? I was hoping the color to be a bit more bronzish copper then the orangish copper but I think it looks pretty good. Has a good contrast with the black. What else don't you like what's wrong with the barrel? To long lol? I guess it's not for everyone I refinished it like this to take to the trap range and turn heads sure as shit gets the job done. I love shooting league with it everyone gives me crap right away but when the clays start turning to little bits off dust well let's just say it shuts um up lol. Looks pretty cool to me ! Mine only has 3 holes and I have not drilled them out ............yet Yet lol well get to it the 20 gauge is a little different with the two bottom pins then press the gas block off. I used a air hammer with some hard wood to drive it off. Drilled the holes bigger and then pressed it back on. Really simple to do just make sure to use the wood or you risk stripping the gas block threads. Ask me how I know lol. I really think it's a good idea to run a stock colt 1911 recoil spring in the 20. It was the only thing that would make it run reliable on the cheapest ammo even after all the other mods. With the tac 47 plug I'm not to worried shooting full loads as well with the 1911 spring. Everything has been working great so far just need to pick up a Kobra and some more ammo as bump firing the shit out of it is so much fun. I also have to laugh at how my gf is holding the gun I thought she was shooting at the time but I noticed the safety is on lol
MIKE20GA 11
I had a "bumpfire" for my Sig 516 and could not make it work ....now I see there is a new trigger on the market that is replacing the bumpfire gizzmo.
Sdustin 578
I like it. Teach your GF to get into a fighting stance and put her face closer to the gun and she will be better at controlling it. What did you use to finish it?

FagI think it looks cool! You may convince yourself that all your weapons are military shtf ready. But I have too many to to pretend some aren't just for FUN. You remeber, that little reason most people buy a saiga. What part of the inbreeding process makes you insist everyone gun should look like yours!
