SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
Just snapped some glamour shots of my new AK. I know IO has gotten a bad rap in the past, but this AK is super nice. Great fit and finish. Put 100 rounds through it this morning with no problems at all. Very nice rifle. I'm more than happy with this baby and the price can't be beat. Made in the USA.

SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
These are super nice Ak's …Highly recommended. At $525 I don't think you can get a nicer one than this model, especially if you like the traditional Kalashnikov design. Great value in todays market. So far every mag I have has worked with this fine. Russian, Korean. Chinese, Yugo, Romanian, USA. I should mention that the $525 does not include the bakelite bayonet, bakelite mag ,scope and mount. Them was all my goodies I already had. It does however come with 2- IO mags, a complete gun cleaning kit and a hard case. My only gripe is I wish it had the but stock cleaning kit cavern. I may try to hunt me down a but stock plate like that and whittle out a cavern for it. Then it will be a true Kalashnikov design. mancat 2,368
Glad you like yours. They have a lot of bad reputation to mend. I understand they fired most of their former staff and hired some new guys, one of whom is supposedly a known builder at Akfiles. However looking at the second photo down I already think I spot a crooked stamping on the right-side mag well dimple, but it could just be the angle of the photo. XdamagedX 248
Apex has the butt plate with trap door for $15... or a complete Romy stock for $15

A 7/8" drill bit is close enough to exact fit for the cleaning kit holes. I know. I reamed mine deeper.
SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
Thanks for the info guys. I gotta tell ya , I am loving this rifle. I got close to 500 rounds through it and have not had one single glitch. I have even been shooting that supposedly bad Tulammo through it with no failures. In this world of $1000 and up AK's, these new IO AK's are a steal. No wonder they are flying off the shelves. If there were issues in the past with IO, they have solved them. I'm glad I don't take internet reviews very seriously or I would have missed out on a great American made AK. Edited April 14, 2015 by SHOTGUN MESSIAH
VR762Shooter 838
Apex has the butt plate with trap door for $15... or a complete Romy stock for $15 This is how I got the parts together for the cleaning kit install on my Timbersmith stock on the Norinco. I have yet to complete the project though as other things (SKS stock refresh) got in the way
LuPiN8oR 333
No offense, but i think I.O. has to build a lot of really well built rifles and hear about them before alot of people give them another chance.
Ruffian72 548
Not the full size, yet trying a Nano M214 pistol, first tear down and fit check/workmanship, no issue, except very slight cant, wont be an issue, I naturally cock/angle weapon, so fits my shooting style. Got it wholesale, customer service has been VERY quick, asked about taking rail off rear of receiver, (For those interested)It's solid 1 piece machined, attached by rear riveted at bottom on sides, Oh, IO would gladly return or exchange if cant was an issue, and pay shipping. I cut/grounded rail off and refinished. Doing a custom fit brace build for a wheelchair bound friend. With chair holder. Has right arm injured/rebuilt in a way it's taking some work to get at comfortable angle. When he isn't using it, change to regular brace, or take off completely.

I'm glad he got a good one, but this is really the truth. IO's reputation is in the sewer and it will take quite a while of churning out consistently better products before people consider them again.
