gunfun 3,931
They look too expensive to use very much. Oshkosh builds skookum machines, but what we really need is a ton of light efficient small vehicles that fit in any crack and drive over any obstacle. No troops walking around, all troops mobile. Like the willy's jeep was. Vehicle's stuck? Get a few guys and we can pick it up and set it on solid ground. They need dirtbikes more than quasi tanks. Maybe diesel multi fuel dirtbikes. Tanks are just targets, no matter how tough you make them, it's always easier and cheaper to make a portable machine which can punch a hole in them. Making all our vehicles into not quite tanks raises the cost, and strains the logistics of feeding them.
