gunfun 3,931
As in you lost it, or you just aren't sure where it goes?
Wdcuret3434 1
Actually I'm doing a Catamount Fury 2 conversion. I've purchased the entire jP recoil spring performance reliability kit and the thicker stanless shaft's diameter is to thick to allow the Catamount Sheild (Pictured) in post to slide into too. Figured the Saiga 12 dust Sheild would be sized right to allow the proper fit. www.carolinashootersuppluy.com suggested to drill out the ring/housing on the Catamount dust Sheild. But just not enough wall. Any help appreciated
G O B 3,516
Fabricate a larger ring.
Wdcuret3434 1
That maybe a option. Tks. Gotta be a vendor who carries this part for Saiga or Vepr 12. Be much easier.
ChileRelleno 7,071
I don't recall ever seen this part offered, outside of someone parting out the whole assembly. You have to remember, only a very select few have ever offered any factory parts. Edited October 4, 2015 by ChileRelleno
Gaddis 1,689
As far as I know (in my own personal search) you're pretty much SOL. Bullshit import restrictions put in place by asshat CIC's have pretty much dried up the supply. The domestic option isn't all that rosy either.
Mullet Man 2,114
Buy an AK dust cover, cut out a section of it, trim to size and make it fit. I have no idea if it would work but the general shape of the small sliding cover is that of an actual dust cover.
Gaddis 1,689
Or learn to live without it. It has about as much actual function as Obama. To quote that Memory Alpha Star Trek episode: it's a dunsel part.
