Wash the car.

Put a plastic bag over your hand.

Feel the paint.

If it feels rough, clay bar it to remove the contaminants stuck to the paint.

Apply a good wax.

Apply detail spray after waxing.

I do this on my 2010 Camaro SS, my 2014 Silverado and my wife's 2009 Saturn Vue.

My brother swears by it to get rid of all the little tiny specs you don't see but you can feel by running your hand across the surface. I can tell you his cars are smooth as a baby's ass. It all depends on how much work your willing to put in to it for a every day driver. I'm not sure it gives you any additional protection, but it has it's merits.

Car clayed waxed and done.

It is amazing the dirt that came out the finish for a new car.

Glad I did it , the wife is pleased.

Maybe I will get lucky.

Got lucky we are having ribs for supper!
