  1. That's crazy that someone would hassle you for wearing pink. I remember in the 80s that a lot of cool(straight) guys wore pink Polo shirts and nobody thought anything about it. For the record, I am deeply committed to biblical precepts from a practical perspective and have spent a lot of my life studying the nature of sin. There are sins people commit against each other(like Stealing), there are sins that people commit against themselves(like Homosexuality) and there are sins people commit against God(like Blasphemy). Why supposed holy rollers pick Homosexuality out of all of the possi
  2. Sorry I didn't clarify that,I am a huge admirer of the Glock 20.I said the G20 was "over-engineered" and purpose built to use the hottest ammo as it's standard loading. If 10mm was commonly available and had the level of accessory and mag options the 9mm did I would already own one as my backpacking rig for hogs and black bears but not for my primary SHTF weapon which might have to last me the rest of my life if I am separated from home, guns, resupply by some cataclysm or civil war type of scenario. Graphic Video(you have been warned) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSq96T-UrJ0
  3. I was at an event where they demoed an Hk416 all day long. I didn't get to shoot it but they basically took a new rifle out of the box and then let different bigshots do full auto mag dump after mag dump without a hiccup for 6-8 hours. If the MR556 uses the same guts minus the "Go Fast" parts I would definitely spend the big bucks and get best thing right off the bat. EDIT:I take that all back, they deleted the chrome lining from their CHF barrel. I wouldn't have a fighting rifle without a chrome bore.HK really screwed the pooch on this one. Their Bolt,Extractor and CHF Chrome Lined Bo
  4. I think he panicked and discharged his weapon before he got it level with the bear personally.
  5. It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's size of the fight in the dog
  6. Looks like a very professional and businesslike piece of equipment. How is that magazine working for you reliability wise? Have you got to shoot a few full loadings out of it?
  7. The G17 is notorious for being the most reliable Glock out there. The G17 is the original with millions of dollars of Austrian government grants for it's development and modernized manufacturing practices and radical and exhaustive testing under military conditions. It is the proven product while everything else is an extrapolation intended for civilian users. The G20 was over-engineered as a matter of course because Glock was still using Austrian Proofhouse testing when they designed it and their base load was the spicy hot Fiocci 10mm "Full House" load and the pistol had to survive a 5
  8. 3rd Gen or earlier Glock 17 My 1st Gen Glock 17 was bought at Southwest Shooters in OKC in 1989 and fired over 40,000rds of IMI +P+ subgun ammo. It malfunctioned 6 times,2 of them due to a weak magazine spring on a used magazine I bought and the other 4 were ammunition related.Every other pistol I have ever owned including Sigs and HKs had that many malfunctions within the 500-3000rds. If it must go "Bang" every time, without fail, no matter what buy a Glock 17(not a 19, not a 22, not a 21 but a 17) Edit:I have added to my collection since this picture and will probably not be do
  9. Prohibition against basic rights and common practices turns regular citizens into criminals by fiat and gives unacceptable levels of power and latitude to whatever government created those laws. Their excuse at that point is "___________ is a Law Breaker" and therefore not entitled to the same rights as a normal citizen even when the law being broken was created expressly for that purpose. Earp was a control freak and he tried to change the lay of the land as an outsider. He had personal issues with the Clantons and used his authority to legitimize his petty feud like most sawed off little dic
  10. Ironwood Designs would be good for the wood part since they have CNC wood carving equipment?

  11. Back then you could just move out of town and be free again but the control freak mindset goes much further than guns in this day and age doesn't it. You can't rudely tell a man with a rifle on his shoulder that you are going to rummage through his things, touch his wife and kick his dog now can you? That is what the gun contol, cctv cameras(Orwell's 1984),airport leukemia scanners/groping,roadside gestapo checkpoints,ID demands(Paperzz Pleazze) for everything are for! Not for crime prevention but to SOCIALLY CONDITION YOU TO SUBMIT TO AN AUTHORITY YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY REASON TO RESPECT!
  12. Ruger 1022 is the most reliable magazine fed semi 22lr period. Old ones are better than newer ones by the way and the only mags that are 100% are Ruger mags(including their new BX-25 hicap). Outside of that I like pump action 22lr repeaters and the H&R Sportsman break top revolvers. Both are ultimately reliable and don't require consistent ammo stored under perfect conditions to work right.
  13. 28% of Americans have been in controlled custody 63% of them for "Victimless Crimes" The USA has the highest arrest and incarceration rates in the world and 9 out of 10 of those convicted are below the poverty line. It's about poverty not about race and for the record 91% this nation's wealth is now in the hands of the wealthiest 10% with the wealthiest 3% of that 10% controlling 89% of that and they are the ones who own the prisons and sell the police cars bought with our tax dollars.
  14. Quit pretending you are free men fellas, you live on a giant prison farm set up for "for profit" incarceration and fake "anti-crime" legislation that protects you from nothing(except retiring by 65). The USA has the highest arrest and incarceration rates in the world. Fully 28% of Americans have been in controlled custody and yes 63% of those arrests were for "victimless crimes".
  15. Some professional trainers tell you to count and to refresh your mag without having to recharge the weapon. I tried to do this for about 2 years and the truth is I am more likely to mess it up in a fight than I am to benefit from it so I just worked on maintaining cover and making fast mag changes instead.
  16. Funny how the part of the house with the highest level of technological items and the highest intellectual demands for a modern tool using biped is called a "Man Cave" by females who can scarcely load an operating system or clamp a precisely take measurements and drill a hole with a drill press eh? I guess anywhere that doesn't smell like lotion bottles and have dancing with the stars blaring seems like a cave to some women, lol
  17. By the way a Saiga 308 has a cold hammer forged barrel and most FALs do not have that(except for late model STG58s and late model Belgian FAL-O models).
  18. good taste, bad taste, he's the guy with the LEGALLY CARRIED AK47. I will reserve any future judgment for later.
  19. This is probably true.. edit:I try to use the rating system for the first time and accidentally give Bean a Neg,lol Sorry 'bout that
  20. He's a one man show trying to change social attitudes and force the police state to acknowledge his rights. The sad thing is that if he did change the social attitudes for regular people the control freak types would campaign and coerce a law to interfere with those rights and his plan would backfire.
  21. No amount of revenge or compensation will make that man happy with life ever again. Let this be a lesson to you fellers. Siphon your money out of the house and retirement and keep it off the books and when that chick starts acting crazy and swinging knives around leave and never look back.
  22. Well if you are going for absolute accuracy you can build a heavy barrel FAL, have it headspaced tight and get a freefloat kit for it but then you are talking about a $1500-$2000 weapon and when a tilting bolt weapon is headspaced that tight it becomes unreliable as well. The Saiga is inexpensive because it's made in a country that cranks out billions of similar weapons and has a vast infrastructure and cheap labor. The same weapon built in the USA would triple what the Saiga rifles cost(but it might have a nicer paintjob). The Saiga is a rugged, fairly accurate rifle but it's not a fo
  23. Hard choice,I think my Saiga will outshoot any of the FALs I have owned but the FALs were setup as MBRs so their handling was excellent and the mags were cheap.Better selection of accessories for the Saiga since it's Kalashnikov based and the Saiga is lighter when compared to a FAL of similar barrel weight(medium-heavy contour). If you don't mind spending more money on the mags the Saiga is a better value for the money and when CSSPECS new generation of stamped steel magazines comes out in the next month or two there will be no comparison. SAIGA 308 FTMFW!
