  1. just bought 5 promags at a gun show for $100. the first time i used one the little lip on the front was missing when i took out the mag. I have not used any of the others. I know they are guaranteed. But it should not have broken. I may need a feed ramp/bullet guide to use them with the lip missing. I have little hope that the rest wont break like the first one.
  2. Soooo. I was watching for the next buy and got way hard up for a spell. That being past and knowing the trials of doing this, I assume that the buy is over and no more will be forthcoming? and I am SOL?? I need to convert a .308 , mainly for the improved trigger. I just can't get used to the trigger pulling up and back so far before it fires. I looked at several threads before I found this thread and alas missed another buy. If there is another buy I want to be included with no reservations and will send out the money order ASAP.
  3. I could use a few stock 8 rounders PM me if you have one or two. Mods, seemed like a better idea to use this thread, or should I start a new one for my wants??
  4. I am also looking for one, choate, I have one on my MAK90 and want to put one on my saiga .308
  5. did ya get your stock? I got one with the gun, just the butt stock, I don't need it
  6. yes, I understand that but the sight needs to be bored out so it will reside further back on the barrel. according to the instructions. I am working on getting at least one part so I can use the surefire mags. I was told the gun was compliant but it is not. I have the 8 rounder until I get a gas piston made in the US.
  7. i don't see the 22 .308 being offered anywhere, 12 ga. ar hard to find in stock too. I would love one of each, shotguns and rifles! for now I have a S.308 and love it!
  8. I really like the idea of a slide over style brake for my S.308. a pin or a set screw or something. I know I can rent the stuff and do it myself but I still have to send the front sight to him so it can be bored out in order to do the threading. I don't want to be without my rifle for that long. There are stocks out there that give you apistol grip without moving the trigger guard. I might be a wuss but the damn thing shoots just fine out of the box. I need one Us part to make me happy. If I add a muzzle brake and it is a US part then I am still OK right?
  9. I have the .308 in the 21in version, it has the stock thunbhole butt and the black forearm. It came with a dustcover scope mount and scope but I don't car for that mount. I love the gun! I had a cetme and it was lousy to shoot, the Saiga is wonderful to shoot. too much so! I am runnin out of ammo!
  10. I like this kinds stuff among others..It is a 1945 WL civilian 45 cu.in.side valve
  11. thanks again! I will check for that. Indy
  12. cool, and thanks! anybody know or have a link for 922r parts requirements? I have seen them but was not in need at the time, now I wish I had saved them to my puter! I read somewhere that a siaga only needed one Us part to uses SF mags as the mags are three. any truth to that? or do I need to do a major rework. I have the thumbhole saiga buttstock and it is OK by me. But I have three SF 25s and want to use them. The Tapco G2 trigger group appears to need a trigger move to use. without changing furniture what are some other Us parts to add with out machine work? Thanks Indy
  13. Ok I give. I have seen posts somewhere that say the Saiga is different from all other AKs. Is there only one piston and will it fit my Saiga .308? I am on the tapco site and it says "AK?MAK version. will it fit my saiga as well?, thanks, Indy
  14. thanks again Leo! I'm likin this site better all the time! Indy
  15. thanks!!!! I will look into the sites. I got my gun in a trade (Igave up a 1022 stainless folder and goodies) The guy was telling me the Saiga was 922 compliant because of all the US parts it is made with, I told him it was a Russian made rifle and had no Us parts beyond the SF Mag he had in it. If there is any pics of differences in the US made piston and the Russian, that would be cool. I am pretty sure my .308 is factory still and I need to make her a legal citizen of the USA ! many thanks for the links guys! Indy
