  1. Very Sanitary! I got a surplus wire folder, FAB Defense pistol grip extended mag release and bolt release being installed next.
  2. I installed a Neit Arms piston cover rail and mounted an Aimpoint Micro and a VLTOR offset light mount with a SureFire G2 LED on it. The piston cover rail was really tight going on there. I had to smack it with my hand a few times in order to seat it. It also scraped some paint off. The retention pin had to malleted in. The tighter tolerances make sense, if you are to mount optics on that thing. The rail is pretty short. In fact, the VLTOR mount and the Micro just barely fit on there together. Had to mount the VLTOR first and then the Micro. Due to the spacing, it doesn't work the other w
  3. I believe that I had to order mine directly from Choate.
  4. I wish the seller posted some close-ups of the markings. Then, I would be able to tell you more. There is very little to indicate that it's a Russian scope tho - no Cyrillic seen anywhere. Very strange for a "military scope". Plus, I believe that Russian military scopes are gray, while the civilian (hunting) models are black. Like BVamp said, it does have an SVD style mount.
  5. EDIT: NM. Thor88 beat me to is. That is a much quicker way.
  6. BUMP! Dropped the price as far as I am willing to go. It's $100 (shipped) now. If it doesn't sell at this price, I am keeping it.
  7. Quick payment and very nice person to deal with. Highly recommended.
  8. K-Var sells the correct, mil-spec ones. Here you go: http://www.k-var.com/shop/product.php?productid=16956&cat=0&page=1
  9. Axeman had Saiga 12s for $800 during the Obama Scare. I was a lot more naive back then, fell for their "better get one before they are banned" pitch and bought one, after trading in my pump action. A month later, they were selling them for $550. During the scare, they were also selling stock x39s and .223 for $600.
  10. He still has them, eh? Chris told me before that he doesn't like this price gouging BS. I wonder if Axeman South is selling them for $1000 a piece.
  11. Bought an expensive stock from me here. Paid right away, good communication, good transaction. Recommended.
  12. Offer rejected for being a bit too low, but I did just lower the price to $120, which is half of what I paid for this scope. It was about $240 shipped from Kalinka last summer. PM sent He backed out. Scope still available.
  13. By the way, a good source for all kind of Russian equipment is a site called Soviet Propaganda. They are based in Moscow, but their site is in English and they cater to Western customers. I've ordered a Russian marine AK sling and a couple of other things from them in the past and had no problems. I am also thinking about getting a Gorka mountain suit and a 60 liter rucksack. I am looking for any info on those too. Gorkas have always looked cool as hell to me.

  15. Looks like we had some kind of a PM system problem on Friday. There is another buyer who never got my PM. :(

  16. Good peoples. Bought a pretty expensive stock from me. Good communication skills and fast payment. Problem free transaction.
  17. So, I don't have a real, heavy-duty chest rig and am thinking that it's time to finally get one. I have been looking at the Russian stuff recently and there are a lot of choices. I want something which holds at least 6 Kalash mags, a knife and a pistol. I want some input from people with any experience with these vests. How's the quality, how do they compare to the Western counter-parts, what are the advantages and disadvantages, etc? Any info or opinion will be appreciated.
  18. Is it just me, or is Wolf MC HP is getting harder to come by at a decent price? The cheapest I could find yesterday was $250 after shipping.
  19. I'm currently having an AK100 folding stock installed on my SGL21 by Troy at In Range. After installing the stock, they phosphate coat and refinish the receiver with Moly Resin. Supposed to be really good stuff and In Range came highly recommended.
  20. Bump. Scope still available. I've made a little illustration to perhaps better explain the one issue with this scope. Check it out:
  21. That looks like what I need. What can you tell me about it?
  22. Hi guys. I'm in the process of having a Russian AK100 folding stock installed on my rifle. The stock is Warsaw Pact length (designed for midgets of people wearing 5 layers of winter clothing and body armor) and I need to add more length to it. I would like to keep things authentic and avoid using just any old slip-on recoil pad. I remember seeing pictures of these recoil pads used on AK-74Ms in the Russian military. They have these little straps which go through a specifically designed hole in these folding stocks and also have space for the big button. Does anyone know what I'm taking about?
