  1. here is an interesting thread regarding the different pin sizes between folders, and a great set of pictures: http://www.akfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35550 I would encourage everyone to read this.
  2. I used to work in the Restaurant industry, and its always better to have a happy customer than a pissed off one. I think they were not trying to mislead anyone evlblkwpnz, but rather they assumed people would know it came with a 5.5 pin. I think you can probably send it back if you want to do an exchange. Have you tried calling them, they are really much better at answering their phones then they are responding to forum posts. I would have tried to send it back had I not already sold and shipped my 4.5mm Bulgy triangle stock. I have alreay paid a welder $65 to add material to the rear o

  4. The only other Russian Polymer stocks that I have seen have the 4.5mm pin. The Russian triangle folders were the only stocks that had the 5.5mm pin. Apparently, these KVar units are of extremely late manufacture and all of them are 5.5mm. It would have been nice to know this before selling my Bulgy stock and trunnion. .... Still no word from KVar on the product details issue. It was my understanding that Bulgarians used the 4.5 and that the russians allways have used 5.5. Might be wrong here, however I think it cant hurt anyone to have extra info on the vendors storefront.
  5. I like to do this because I usually have the range to myself, or mostly to myself when it's cold. Bingo. Better yet go to the woods young men!
  6. Russian pins are allways 5.5 right? Bulgy pins are 4.5.
  7. Yes, because the relevant wording is as follows: "which are determined by Arsenal, Inc. to be out of Mil Specification and harmful to your rifle." For a list of magazines Arsenal deems within "military specification", call arsenal rather than starting a fucking hate fest because you can't afford their fine products (Im looking at you Pauly... ).
  8. yah the $600 opening bid is your problem. No offense, but the rifle will sell for much less than that. I would start the bidding at $299. You may get a nibble or two. my
  9. He meant to post that the magazine in question has a US floor plate and US follower.
  10. Actually the vast majority of WWII sabotage attempts were made by ethnic Germans not "squinty eyed" people. So I guess the whole sending the japanese to concentration camps thing didn't "work damn well" after all... Are you saying The "squinty eyed" people didnt enguage in sabotage? Or they didnt because they were in concentration camps? Sly, I think this about sums up my opinion.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wRaFXBDn0g
  11. yeah I noticed AIM is hocking these now as well. Like I said in my open letter to US Palm, I will buy these again when they go down in price. For $29 I can buy a ((10)) with money left to buy five Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers..... I will be doing my Bacon Burger review soon as well. By the Way Awesome Motivational Poster!

  13. You do not want BHO as a feature on the AK. It is just another part whose purpose is to push the spring to far over. A bloody liability if you ask me...
  14. Tapco makes an inferior magazine, but its furniture is built well enough for casual use. I actually like the length of their buttstocks more than the typical Warsaw length which is about 1/2" longer. That being said, I am not sure I like the looks of any of their products. This might not be an issue for everyone, but I dont like my AK to look like a bubba'ed Piece of Shit.
  15. I cant believe this hasn't been bought up. This is a LOW price and if its available after I get paid I am gonna go for it!
  16. That is a capital idea old sport! I will get on it tonight when work is done.
  17. Rangemaster, Ill check with USPS, I sent it out, hopefully its sitting in transit and had some problem.. Also: I have cleaned up the thread and reposted the tests only in a new thread located HERE! This way people can get to the bottom line up front.
  18. I will update this section with ViaFanatic90's pictures tomorrow morning.
  19. TEST 5 RESULTS and an Open Letter to US-Palm (Part 3 of 3) Methodology: after magazines were cleaned, they were loaded with 30 rounds of Yugo Surplus. Magazines were each placed in magwell and hand-cycled. NO ISSUES WITH ETHER MAGAZINE. BOTH FED PERFECTLY! Despite the success, after the test I jiggled the AK30 around and I can hear a small particle bouncing around at the bottom of the magazine. This is likely a wood-chip, but who knows. It did not stop the hand cycle (pulled the charging handle and let it fly then repeated 30 times). CONCLUSION AND OPEN LETTER TO US-PALM: The AK30 i
  20. TEST 5 Results (part 1 of 3) Magazines appear in my front yard buried by debris, dirt, wood-chips, dog-mess, and vegetation: Each magazine is removed from their tomb.... Note: There is a small amount of rust on the right hand side of the floor-plate on the ((10)). Magazines Side-by-Side in my bathtub, each is full to the brim with dirt. I followed a simple procedure for each. I would remove the Floor Plate from the ((10)) and take out the spring and follower. I would then wipe the dirt out of the magazine body with an oily rag. The US-Palm AK30 would be run under "hot
  21. Results of the Drop portion of Test 3: 1: Chunk Out of AK30 2: Bulgarian slight Base Bend 3:Chinese slight Base Bend 4: AK30 locked and loaded. 5: Our make shift White-Trash range.... TEST 4: DROP TEST METHODOLOGY: Each magazine was Dropped, feedlips down, from a height of about 10 feet (I stood on the back of my VW and let gravity do the work). Magazines fell onto Idaho's hard earth/rocky surface. NOTE: as you can see from picture two some units landed on their side once or twice. I repeated the drop until they slammed against the ground feed
