  1. B, that thing scares me just looking at it, then I look over to my gun cabinet and get comforted. How did you work around the dimples on the front Site Block. Did you drill or dermal? I drilled them out a little at a time on a drill press I figured as much, It looks really nice. I'm going to have to give it a try. I've got a few of them 74 front site blocks.
  2. Here are two of mine..The one with the fixed stock has the blue removed from the Bolt handle. Give it that old Soviet Look. And if you look closely, you don't see the rivet holes. I filled them in..

  4. Ok Not to make any one mad here.. But Why a 50 round Mag?? Someone would say "why the 75 Drums" But I use them for my RPK's. (Yes I know that I live in New York State, But I can say to the LEO, "Prove there NOT Pre-Ban") There Soviet Military drums. So Why the 50 or 75 round Mag's?? If for FUN, then wright on bro. 6. What do you mean, to fix the stock open, or when I welded up the receiver? To fix the stock open I would just weld the underfolder parts to the trunnion and make the folding feature inoperable. To actually install the underfolder trunnion, I had to remove the sight mount and weld EVERY rivet hole, the original FCG holes, and the holes used to bend the flats by the factory. I then hand filed them to match the receiver. Then I drilled new holes for the underfolder trunnion and sand blasted the whole rifle. I then Moly-Resined the entire rifle. It wasn't an easy process.....it took
  7. I wanted an underfolder, so I did it. I didn't want a block hanging off the back of the receiver, I wanted it to look like it was meant to be. So......here ya go! Before: After: are u selling this on gunbroker right now? i just saw this same gun listed for sale? Yes, I did the work myself, rather than paying a gunsmith, and yes, I am selling it on Gunbroker. Doubt I will get what I'm asking, but I personally think it's fair considering how much I have put into it. As far as the difficulty, it took me about 4 days work to complete it, and I probably wouldn't do

  19. Use Original WINDEX (50/50 Water and Ammonia) brakes down the corrosive salt in the Primer so you can just wipe it away. When your done shooting for the day, Open up the dust cover then spray Windex everywhere and wipe down. Clean it later then.. Works every time and no rust pitting at all.. Trust Me I have been using this method for many years, It works!!
  20. I had the same thing happen to my 7.62.. I don't know if this will work for you.. But I J.B. Weld it in place.. If you are going to try this. You will need a 2in C-clamp as well.. But I used a dremel to rough up the surface under the bullet guide and around the broken tap.. Then I use brake parts cleaner to degrease the area and a can of Air to blow away the metal dust. (use computer can air because air hose can some time have water or oil in the line.) Then I mix up a 50/50 of J.B. Weld put some on the spot where the tap broke and under the guide. Put her in place press down som
  21. I would love to see what 7.62 ones you have as well..
  22. Friends Don't let Friends use Pro-Mag or Surefire.. AK MAG TEST BUT If you are just using them for fun then go ahead. But if you are looking to use them I SHTF times. IMHO. File down the back lock a bit on the steel mag and install the Feed Ramp..
