  1. http://www.mojosights.com/ak47_sks.html I have the microclick adjustable version. Very nice. Doesn't stay down as well as it could, though.
  2. I've got the exact grip(and very similar stock, lol) on my saiga and there is no movement. Must be the PG nut.
  3. Bulgy polymer >US Tapco >Master Molder Just as far as polymer mags go, anyways. I've never had any troubles with my tapco mags, they are very durable, and always 100% reliable. Steel is outdated. They are reliable, yes, but as far as durability goes, they will dent, crush, and bend while the polymers will not. Just don't drop the gun on it's buttstock from 6 feet up loaded with a full tapco mag, lol.
  4. Is there a 5.45 sporter out? I thought all the converted ones sold through KVar had threaded barrels?
  5. I had that same scope a while back and really liked it.
  6. I'm sure that's it. Mine was doing the exact same thing a while back, and it was this.
  7. Battery failure is #1 worry, not breaking glass. I give no thought whatsoever to the glass in my optic actually breaking. If something put that much force on my optic, I'm fucked, if not my arms holding the rifle or my face. If the battery dies, there's no "Struggling" to see anything, there's just no aiming dot there. If mud or something gets on it, wiping it off with a finger is quicker than anything else. Just dropping the rifle from arm-height, on hard packed dirt, directly on the optic, it doesn't even lose zero, and that's with my fairly cheap ($160) red dot. With a sling its
  8. If you took a picture with a magazine inserted, I could tell you. As long as it fills the empty space at the front edge of an inserted AK magazine, it should work. Honestly it looks fine to me. The one I made for my gun is only as wide/long as the exposed trunion area that it sits on, and it works perfectly. But it doesn't matter whether it's tucked in underneath the barrel. Makes not one iota of difference.
  9. It either cowitnesses with a mounted optic or it does not cowitness. I'm not completely sure what you're asking, lol. The whole point is for combat situations where you cannot stop and remove a failed optic to continue shooting accurately. The LaRue Irondot is made with a backup rear sight. So yes, it does cowitness. I've never used it, so I don't know anything about the durability. I replaced my rear sight leaf with a click-adjustable Mojo peep sight, for a bit better long-range accuracy. I gave thought to the irondot, but I just didn't want to go back to the old style iron sights
  10. That's not what co-witness means. Co-witness means you can use the iron sights through the optic you have mounted. And you cannot, not with the UTG rails. I bought an ultimak gas tube mount and it cowitnesses perfectly with my itac defense red dot. Which is very durable and quite satisfactory, btw. $160 on cheaperthandirt. I machined down my handguard rails so I could use the lower trirail with my ultimak gas tube, so I still got some use out of it. Btw, cowitness also prevents you being SOL when the batteries die. That's kinda the whole point. I'd love to have one of those
  11. My x39 shot a 1/2" group at 25yds when I was sighting it in... I'd expect 3-4moa out of any Saiga, and be happy with whatever I got in between. The accuracy thread on here supports this.
  12. The video was all it took. I'll go ahead and order one.
  13. http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...il?sfs=776e86bf I'm really interested if it does a good job in reducing muzzle rise. I know the design of the brake they used is known for working very well, I am just curious as to how well it works in this application...
  14. Go with the Tapco mags. They are cheaper than any others and have performed flawlessly for me and many others. I have seven of them that have all been cycled many times with absolutely no problems. Yeah, the tab up front might break if you slam the rifle on it's buttstock, but seriously, how the fuck is that ever going to happen unless you are a complete and utter idiot? It performs better than any other US made mag in kvar's video, and is half the price.
  15. Damn that is gorgeous. Almost like it doesn't belong on an AK
