took the saiga .223 out to the range today. unconverted gun, just has an ACE external block stock and a tapco galil grip installed. I was happy to find out that the red lock-tite worked great and the stock did not loosen one bit. sturdy as hell. However, after about 30 rounds the gun would fire the round, load the next, but the hammer would not cock and i'd have to pull the charging handle (thus throwing a live round out) to load another and cock the hammer. the guy at the gun shop said it needs to be cleaned and lubed better (mine was prety dry, very little oil) do you guys think that is the

also i see you are using one of the ACE skeleton stocks and what looks like a SAW pistol grip? how do you use those on a converted saiga? does it require any mods to the back of the receiver? how do you mount that PG on it?

yeah, addendum is better. zeitgeist would have had a lot more viewers and support if the author would have put the religion part at the end or simply saved it for a separate documentary. that god-awful intro is waaay too long and boring also. i have shown countless people that film and they simply turned it off either by being bored of the 15 mins of black screen and voice over or appalled by the religious part.

What heat shield is that? Does it give you any problems with the action cycling? I have a Mossberg 500 just like it. The shotgun comes with the pistolgrip and heatshield installed, and no it does not get in the way of cycling rounds. It looks alot like the 590 minus the stock. Oh, very cool. In the coming months I'm probably going to get a 500 for a nice project gun, so I've been shopping around for the various accessories etc.

There is no need for "God" on the currency. The entire modern religious right/republican thing is a gross, uneducated twisting of history for the benefit of a few mega churches and political power. The "God" of the founding fathers is not the God these people think he is. The FF's were predominantly deists and recent evidence suggests many may have simply been atheists who said they were deists simply for political purposes. couple questions... If I want to convert, but not put a bullet guide in and just use regular surefire mags (i live in NJ) can I do that? Will the pistol grip and stock piece on my ACE thing work on a converted saiga as separate pieces? Honestly, how hard is it to convert? Think of me as a butter fingered sissy-man who can't use tools at all. Am I going to ruin my gun?

I guess I could give it a shot with the dremel. $35 isnt bad at all, especially if it ends this crap.

i really would love to convert, but i don't own a dremel, cobalt bits, or know anyone here in NJ that does or can help or do conversions for money or anything...

I have a Saiga .223 with the ACE Block/pistol grip/stock set that "converts" a Saiga without any mods to the receiver. Took it to the range today and it fell off during firing! I took it home and tightened up the two internal screws, tried to simulate recoil and "test" it. No problems but who knows? ANyone had this problem? What kind of solutions are there?

I was in the gun shop last weekend and saw that they stocked up on Saigas again. Now, they have a Saiga 12 in stock, brand new for $559. I love the S12 but here's the catch - I live in NJ! This means I can't go over 6 rd mags, cannot add a pistol grip, etc or anything. Is the S12 still worth getting? I guess I could put a rail on it and have a light on it. Or honestly, would I be better off with something like a mossberg 500/rem 870 that I COULD add a pistol grip to?

Damn Good Information Gentlemen! I wish I had read it earlier in the day... Tony, I am really interested in the new products, but really need to get these two together. Perhaps my next rifle... Yeah, those ACE guys are garbage, I advise everyone NOT to support their garbage business. I ordered a stock from them, waited a month, no responses to my order status emails or anything. Finally I cancelled and bought from a private seller on here. That guy did 500x better of a job than those morons at ACE.
