  3. At 2:45 in my video I use 3" Mag Nitro Turkey's and they eject more to the side
  4. I found that most saiga 12s need to be properly shoulder in order to be 100% reliable... Heres a couple videos of my buddy and his INSANE trigger finger Ignore the first guy in the video "fanning" just start at 0:40 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQXyzHW_jVQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0CkcuMOgzU&NR=1
  5. I wanted a 12" I called Tromix and they had already standardized their bbl sizes and no longer made a 12" I called Will and he said He would build it exactly how I wanted. I ended up growing a pair and doing the conversion myself (10" SBS with Gas block moved 2" back) but if I were to chose one company SOLELY based on first impressions I would have chosen Will. That being said I am too impatient to wait for a Tromix, Will said he usually has them done before the Stamp comes back. The reason Tromix has a high resell is because they are SOOO hard to get ahold of, Tony has paved the w
  6. I have the Galil style charging handle and after filming in slo mo I realized it will actually cause a failure when using cheap-o ammo, when using any decent ammo my gun runs flawless http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QB1o2isrCDI
  7. Well, to the extent of my testing, it currently runs 100% with bulk packs and MD-20s, so I don't think I will have to do much to it other than enlarge ports. I addressed every single friction point in the weapon before I took it to the range the first time. It is one smooth machine. I appreciate the offer. I'll probably just leave the gas system long and shorten it when an opportunity arises. I want to make it up that way to meet Jesco White someday soon before he kicks off. I'd almost drive up there just to play with your camera. Now that is a toy that could keep me occupied for a while.
  8. Yeah I moved my gas system back 2" and shortened every thing. Too bad you dont have access to a lathe even when I had my gas system shortened and still had a longer bbl the gun ran soo much smoother, not to mention the weight reduction. Bring it here and we'll do it You can do it all in one LONG day. Good luck with your project, hope you get her cycling good
  9. Go 10" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QB1o2isrCDI I used a choke adapter to make mine more reliable, but it does fine with wally world ammo with the factory 4 port configuration. With with choke adapter I believe its almost 12"
  10. The latest Slow Mo video of course featuring my 10" saiga 12 and of course Sacha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxSogmboDCI

  14. Haven't forgot about you guys, just been busy Hopefully Ill pick up some melons soon and make some Fruit Juice I would also like to make a compilation video of my SBR's and SBS fire balls at dusk (of course in slow motion) Shot my draco for the first time tonight, not near the fireball that my 107ur puts out but still pretty outlandish Justin
  15. btw I have my fingers crossed on picking up an SGL-31 on 10/10/2010 for cheap this will be the donor rifle for the 105 build since it is Russian, that will make the gun 100% russian (except for the fcg)
  16. this thread is just hibernating waiting on Ted... but it's definitely not dead! he is doing a batch of krinks at the moment, one being my '86 Tula he said he would try to get the 105 in soon I'm hoping early next year but it's worth the wait. anyone reading this feel free to ask questions or add any information you may have on the 105 that isn't already posted in this thread, I'll get back to you as soon as I can Justin
  17. SGL.. I bought one when the were around $500, you cant convert a saiga for that unless you already have the parts. I would get the saiga over the sgl only if I were planning to tacticoolize it (non traditional parts) I have had a bunch of saigas and arsenals, quality is great on both however for the money even at $700 its hard to beat the SGL. I sold my SGL to fund another gun buy, and also sold all of my saigas except (2) saiga 12s and (1) .223 which has everything but a can opener.. (tactical overboard) Has anyone mentioned that with a RAA saiga that you will have 4 extra hol
  18. I too am researching this, I've found that AK's are not machined to very tight tolerances and therefore it's hard to make an extremely efficient suppressor because the holes in the baffles need be much larger to allow for error. one example of this - I had a wasr10 uf and I bought a 74 style MB, put it on and tried it out and the bullet struck the brake either because the bore wasn't centered in the bbl or the threads were machined with a slight angle. I've considered buying a gemtech .30 cal can and using it for my ak's, .308 and 7.62x54r one thing that you must consider is when usin
  19. lucky lucky bastard!! i like your shots of her with the guns. i think the second shot would have been a killer shot had you have her lift her chin just a touch more to get the white of her eyes in it and it would have cut the heavy shadow under the chin. i think i have about 15 skinny puppy cd's. mostly albums some remix singles. they have been a favorite of mine for many years. those guns are awesome too Im pumped to shoot the FA ak's that wasnt a very good shot of her but you could see more gun in it.. 15? dang I just have a handfull maybe 20-30 songs by skinny
  20. Ive picked up a few NFA Items from them. Sacha went with me hit it off with the owner right off the bat. Blackheart does a lot of government and civilian training (if you can afford it) and they make their own training manuals. He found out she was Russian and instantly asked if she would be interested in translating some Russian military documents and manuals. Then he asked if she would like to be in the BHI annual calendar, so that is why she is wearing the BHI shirt it was for the calendar photo shoot. However this is a picture I took with my camera to share with the forum even though I got
  21. Sorry, I was talking about this one and I left the wrong link. ooohh... thats my X about 3 x's ago

  23. Another cool shot from the day (yes this is an AR.. made by BHI) feel free to comment on the photo and ask any questions about the rifle but lets keep the trolling to a minimum.. The only specs I know about this rifle BHI lower BHI Forearm Angled forward grip Surefire suppressor (VERY IMPRESSIVE for its size) no hearing protection required 4x acog with chevron CTR stock Stark pistol grip
  24. Another image.. It has the CTR stock on it - third gun from the left is a legit 74u The only reason I posted this was not to get criticism on the accs. that were chosen but to share a Full Auto Saiga (which I had never seen or heard of one) with the Saiga Forum, and show you at least one type of AK that the government uses (you can argue back and forth all day about this but it is a fact that this sopmod IS SOLD TO THE GOVERNMENT) Its not always about blending in, but its about having ammo and parts available where you are stationed
  25. i love skinny puppy! great choice for music. where you holding for full auto fire through the entire vid? around 1:10 the bolt can be seen travelling at rate that seems erratic in timing. Is that just common with that type of gun? Wow! Im impressed, not too many people even know who skinny puppy is! They rock and they paved the path for gothic industrial music for sure! yes as mentioned before the drum was feeding erratic that plus the combination of 50yr old surplus ammunition cause the erratic fire rate. If I were to guess I would say it averaged around 900rpm? faster than my
