  1. Judging by the confederate flag in your avatar and the spelling/grammatical errors in your post, I might suggest holding off on purchasing firearms and instead saving your money for education related expenses.... So you have been appointed the hall monitor. It's quite apparent you like to run off new members well you win so long, You could have saved your comments. I'll make sure I don't recommend your forum
  2. If you have the opportunity to buy a Russian Dragunov SVD or Tigr you should do that. If your referring to a Romanian PSL as a "Dragunov" then Id just about go with anything else (the difference between Russian 2" groups and Romainian 4-7" groups is a huge factor). Really you don't want to buy a long barrel 7.62x39 as the accuracy is not really improved. Also, you will want to go to http://www.dragunov.net/ to learn about the platform before umping in a spending your hard earned money. Thanks I'm sure not wealthy enough to buy the real dragunov,I'm to busy buying clunkers and
  3. Has anyone put a longer barrel on their x39 if so how hard was it and what barrel fits it. I just need to get a longer barrell or trade someone with one or buy a dragunov thanks paul
  4. Yea did that to got the idea here on the forum, just tape it off with tape mark where to cut and drill and go at it. the cut area's just sand with 600 grit real smooth and it looks factory.

  11. Just curius has anyone ever made a good list of what parts from a Ak47 will fit a Saiga, I have read what won't fit but little about what will. Seee how long this one lasts LOL!!!!
  12. Any one have a forearm for the 7.62x39 rifle for sale cheap, I damaged mine. If you take paypal that's better. thanks paul
  13. well if the saiga regular stock fits you in length then everything else is to short, I have sent both mine back I'm going to make a fiberglass stock long enough.
  14. remember, they are available in hot pink and even rainbow to get rid of some of the redneck aura... Be sure and post pics! I used a pair to make a spacer for my M1A stock and one for an old 10/22 that was too short for me! I just hacked them out to basic shape with a fine cut jig saw then screwed them onto the rear of the stock. Then I put a few layers of blue tape on the stock itself for protection and used a belt sander to grind/sand them to final shape. Frankly, they looked just fine and no one was the wiser of their lowly birth. I think that I paid $4 for them! To the OP! Ser
  15. They actually use a slightly different hold and stance with an SMG or Assault Rifle than most people do with a hunting rifle.Your elbows tucked in and your firing hand lifting up rather than extended out from your body so unless you are like 6ft5in or taller it's about what you are used to rather than the stock. The Nato length K-Var stock is as long from the grip to the buttpad as a standard M16 stock if I am not mistaken and plenty of tall dudes with really long arms shoot those pretty darned well. The flipflop buttpad spacer idea is probably the best piece of redneck engineering I have e
  16. Yea but would have to stack them to make up 3" look may be a bit off but sure worth looking into thanks
  17. LOL!!!! I'm not that talented but worth thinking about thanks
  18. Wizard: I suggest getting a expanding stock, or an AR to AK stock adaptor if the selection out there is to small. Problem is there is no selection out there that I can find except for the nato lenth stock and it's 1/1/2" to short. Ideally the saiga is perfect for length except the looks, what we need is for someone to make stocks that length.. All that i have found are to short, I guess I could try to carve one out of wood. Thanks for the responce.
  19. Well I can vouch for all you kind folks here with all the info ya'll provided I did my conversion in 1 hr 42 minutes. A big thanks for that. One problem these's butt stocks must be made for short arm suckers, I bought the nato length is 3" shorter that the saiga stock any suggestions ?????. This sure will not work!! Paul
  20. Don't you have to grind ( modify the trigger parts to make them fit???
