Shootin' stuff
Lone Star Arms replied to RobRez's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
What kind of rounds are you using for penetration tests? Do you have any steel core? Do you have any of those black tipped Israeli rounds that people have been selling for the past year or so? I really wanna see pics of this bro!!! Also, while I like the above Zombie test, you might want to shoot Helium Balloons or cans of gas and with incendiary rounds. Also make sure you stay safe buy bringing one of THESE! Is he supposed hide BEHIND that, or use it ass a BACKstop? On toopic, I have been trying to think about what I am going to bring to the Florida Saiga shoot. -

Why not just do it on the cheap, and buy a Pelosi Halloween mask. Just put it in the middle of a bunch of the mindless zombie characters, fill it full of oatmeal and blood sacks where the brain would be.... wait... I think that's already been done. No, I'm sure that's already been done. Check out CSPAN. Never mind... WS -
camon:> In a sense yeah. Obviously Obamas policies are fair game, his patriotism should not be questioned over putting his hand over his heart. The guy is plenty wrong on many issues, but his dedication to this country is obvious. The Rest of you:> Look, I am easily the most left wing guy here on these boards, so really only half of you are gonna listen to anything I saw without some fuckwit ad-hom retort. That being said, why even bother with this gottcha shit? Obviously the man is a Patriot, same as you or me, he just forgot to put his hand over his heart. I mean you don't need to

Hmmm... I REALLY like the oatmeal idea, but it occurred to me that the water jugs will look odd unless the empty space around the jug is filled out to make the head look natural. I suggest Hollywood "blood" bags, basically plastic bags filled with the aforementioned simple syrup mixture. That way, we get just the right combo of natural looking blood spatter, and gooey "brain" tissue exploding from the head as the 00 buck hits the target. Mwahahahaha.... WS -

Taping Saiga internal block to secure folding stock
Lone Star Arms replied to kwesi's topic in Saiga-12
Don't attempt to use a drill to tap. Do it carefully, by hand. If you don't have a handle, use a vice grip, Just make sure your tap stays straight and apply steady even pressure as you turn the tap to thread the hole. WS -
Harv, I think it's clear to everyone that this footage was shot during the campaign. However, this in conjunction with Obama's connection to avowed communists, radical racist clergy, Acorn, and Weather Underground founders goes directly to the mans character, and agenda. It is not the isolated incident or association, but the preponderance of associations behaviors and circumstances that expose Obama (IMO) as a wolf in sheep's clothing, a dedicated socialist masquerading as a center left moderate. WS

Forgive me... I don't want to give you the wrong idea. I dislike Obama's socialist politics from the bottom up. I think he is smarmy, dishonest, disingenuous, and completely untrustworthy (things he has in common with many former CIC's). However, I find his dimissive arrogance to the flag, before which he was standing, and to our national anthem (no matter how bad the singer), particularly repugnant, and chilling. WS

Good first hand gun for CCW?
Lone Star Arms replied to mgconnor13's topic in Other Weapons - HANDGUNS
Agree with Bob on 9mm as a carry gun. My personal carry weapon is a Glock 19. I also have a 26, but prefer the 19 due to its combination of compact size and high capacity magazine (15+1). Ammo has been scarce, but I've been able to get all the practice rounds I need at Wal Mart for less than $10 for a box of 50 (just be there when the shipments come in). For self defense ammo I use +P jacketed hollow points. 1 mag in the gun, and two on my belt. I usually carry in a Blackhawk holster with a paddle mount. My mag holder has the same setup. I am very happy with the Glock. I have fired as -

I love it! BTW, we have had a right to carry law in effect in New Mexico for a number of years now. The only incident where a licensed CCW gun owner has pulled his weapon was at a Wal Mart, where a deli workers ex husband was in the process of stabbing her to death. She survived. The ex husband (who was on the receiving end of a classic Mozambique) did not. WS -
Good luck with your project. Have a nice day:) WS

Really? I stripped my first restoration down to the barrel and receiver, and brought it over to Ace hardware to sort things out. The manager was extremely helpful and dilligent. You did say you own a drill and a Dremel? Am I correct? Do you know the difference between a 1/8" bit,and a 5/32" bit - the difference between a bit and a tap? What country do you live in my friend, or alternatively what agency do you work for? There are dozens of threads all over the internet that cover all types of Saiga information. Perhaps you should consult Google, You Tube, or BATFE about how to lawfull
