  1. They can not be as bad as Sportsmans Guide! Yesterday, i received a packet in the mail from them, ALL it was, was adverts for mattress', gun clubs, viagra, furniture etc. etc., just a bunch of random crap, all cut out neatly into little cards for each advertisement! There was atleast 50 cards in it What a bunch of bullshit that was! On topic, i usually buy a rag for a road trip or when sitting in the hotel room, or just for throne reading material.
  2. I was figuring on more people getting in on this. It appears now that only a handful will be in that live in a BAN State. Is Montana a BAN State? I'll probably just end up writing the numbers down and drawing from a hat, or it will take forever to use the random number websites. Close only counts in Horseshoes and hand grenades.... and The Price is Right.
  3. Please post a picture of the side of the receiver.
  4. I asked the same question when i joined. I was told buy whatevers cheapest. I havent had any problems yet. Some say the Bears are a more accurate round. The way i see it in my limited experience is, if the round fits the chambering and the price is right, then go for it.
  5. This is true, but how many 15rd AK mags have you ever seen? While there is probably some out there, they just are not readily available. FYI, if you guys keep all your numbers under 100, then i'll just make it 1 through 100, instead of 1 thru 200. That is of course if less than 100 people get in this, which looks like is whats going to happen
  6. Here you go, read through this thread. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=7303 There are rifles that have the handguard notches but do not have a threaded barrel. Mine is a March of '09 build too. It has all the goodies so far but i havent cut the muzzle cap yet, to see if its threaded. Good luck and congrats.
  7. I'm not seeing any of those States on a list for not allowing mags that hold more then 10 rounds. How about a little honesty here!? If you can legally own magazines that hold more then 10 rounds, this topic is not for you! all i see is California Hawaii Maryland Massachusetts New Jersey New York
  8. I wonder if i should make it 1 through 200 or so, to make it easier on the random number generator? I dont think i'll get anywhere near 1,000 people on this. I'll edit the original post.
  9. sorry guys messed up the 1st post. see the other topic for the intended purpose. mods can delete this please.
  10. I'm offering a free OE 10rd magazine for the Saiga 7.62x39 (IZ132). The two stipulations are: 1, you must live/reside (ship to address) in a State where mags with more then 10rd capacity are outlawed. (If you can legally own magazines that hold more then 10rds, then this giveaway is not intended for you) 2, you must give something to another member on here in "pay it forward" style. (I will hound you if you BS on this part!) All you have to do, is pick a number 1 through 200 and post it in this thread, along with the State you live in to be eligible. You'll have until 12 noon Cen
  11. +1 for the greatest thread title ever!
  12. If i were you, i would get a .223 or 5.45. This may sound selfish but i dont need another buyer competing with me for 7.62x39 ammo, keeping demand up and supply down. I'm only slightly joking. However, i would opt for the 16" barrel of any version.
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTVpxxzb2Dc Yes L O L, thats the ringtone i use for my supervisor when he calls me.
  14. that is a great deal and MAA is a great vendor to do business with too. wow they are even offering free shipping! that makes it a no brainer! I thought they were free shipping too because of that little tab that says dundunduh "FREE SHIPPING" right next to the price. NOPE it is $25 to ship it as noted in the description below the firearm. I suggested to MAA that they remedy this error on their website but it apparently fell upon deaf ears.
  15. Cerberus, the same private firm that owned Chrysler for a brief period, a couple of years ago?
  16. Yep, and its built right up here in Belvidere IL. My little brother might have had his hands on that car going down the assembly line. Good buy.
  17. Interesting and thanks for the info. http://www.allans-armory.com/aapictures.php?ItemId=180000PAR I just like the shape of the handguard.
  18. This is a members avatar on here, I PM'd him but havent got a response yet. Does anyone know anything about it?
  19. common on Saigas yes. Interfere? well that depends if you want to reinstall it after the restoration. It requires a little modification to the FCG to reuse it, or purchasing a FCG that is already modified for use with the BHO lever. Its all user preference at that point.
  20. Thanks for the pics! comparing those to the pics on page 5 by 'TR Young' in the "i have a factory threaded barrel" thread, you can certainly see a difference. someone needs to combine all this good info into one thread and make it a sticky.
