Sorry about that...just a straight out of the box Saiga. I have an AK already and live in CA, so I am probably going to leave it as is. I think I am going to buy another to convert. These things are great!

This think rocks!! Now I am a bolt action guy and have some semi-auto rifles, but generally stick the to bolts. This thing has changed my mind. I am going to by another on next pay day! You can not beat this quality for the price. I am going to the desert this weekend to shoot it. If it shoots as good as I think it will, I am completely sold. I know I am preaching to the choir, but I can't tell you how stoked I am right now...hope it shoots good. I will post an update on Sunday. Thanks to all who have posted the great info here. Matt

Hello to all, I have been lurking here for a while and decided to pick up a Saiga to complement my other AK. I live in CA, so Saiga are a nice alternative to a full blown AK. I bought my Saiga today and noticed that it came with a bolt hold open device. It is a small lever on the right side of the receive. I have not seen these before. Are they common now? Will it interfer with the conversion? Thanks, Matt
