  1. What kind of mag is that you have in the rifle in the top pic?
  2. ^^^ What they said. I'm not a fan of foregrips for the most part, It just adds "clutter" IMO. I like everything to be simple, functional, and low profile.
  3. Thanks for the input guys, very useful info indeed!
  4. Nice! If you had to choose just one though, which would it be?
  5. Sorry if this has been covered before, (certainly seems like it would have been) but I did a search and didn't find anything specific. I have only run irons on my AKs up to this point, but am considering both of the rail systems mentioned along with an optic of some sort. I don't know much about either system to be honest. Is this like an apples to oranges comparison? The obvious difference is of course the mounting location, gas tube mount vs. top cover mount. Just trying to get some input from those who have used both, which they prefer, and why. Thanks in advance.
  6. I was thinking about getting some for deer hunting. Anyone use this ammo? What kind of accuracy are you getting with it? I noticed that it has a round nose bullet instead of pointed. I'm not sure if that is a plus or minus though. It's also about half the price of the Rem./Win./Fed.
  7. Looks like AIM is now sold out of the Polish Toks, but they still have the Romy. I would get a Yugo M57 if you can find them. Very accurate little pistol and it holds 9 rds. instead of 8 like the other Tok variants.
  8. I know for the Saigas the G2 hammer where the axis pin goes needs to have a little material shaved off to clear the BHO lever.(correct?) Since the Veprs don't have a BHO, does the G2 more or less drop-in right out of the box?
  9. Haha, classic! I always thought Elaine was sexy. Not like super model sexy, but girl next door, classical beauty type sexy.
  10. That's a good deal considering the current political climate.Where did you get it?
  11. Saw this on Wikipedia. It's obviously not 7N6. Just wondering if someone might have an idea.
  12. I have always heard that 7N6 is noticeably hotter than the commercial stuff, and more accurate too. I have never shot any though. It seems the 74s perform better with the lighter 53gr. bullet as opposed to the 55,60,and 70gr.
  13. Nice dude! What kind of mag is that?
  14. Will the Vepr factory wood furniture fit universally between the different calibers or are some of them different?
  15. The lost one, I sent you a PM.
  16. Cabela's is nothing more than an overpriced outdoors Disneyland. Same thing with Bass Pro. I will admit it's fun to go there and look around, but I almost never buy anything. I wonder how they stay in business to be honest.
  17. Is there a way to determine what year 7N6 ammo was made? On a spam can for example, is there a way to tell amongst all those numbers and symbols, or maybe on the headstamp of the cartridge itself ?
  18. Looks damn good dude. Is that plum furniture actually plum color or more brownish? I had that on my Arsenal 7.62, but it was like a doo-doo brown. I think the colors may vary from batch to batch.
  19. Anybody shoot 7N6 in their Vepr? I've never shot corrosive ammo in any of my AKs, because of concerns with rust and pitting if I don't clean every nook and cranny that may have been exposed to the corrosive salts.
  20. I'd say a genuine 74 brake, with the off-set gas ports and preferably an expansion chamber. There's also a "74 type" brake that looks identical, but has in-line gas ports, and is supposedly not as good.
