  1. I agree with Bigsal, WaffenSchmied does some cool venting and has helped me before.
  2. Couldnt have said it better! Thanks. I couldn't continue to read this without showing my support for Plastik. I love what CGW did as well, but America is about freedom and having options right? The very things we gun nuts like to boast we'll protect. Yep, thats one of the things that makes America great, having the right to choose.
  3. NOW THATS WHAT IM TALK'N BOUT!! Improving ideas and parts to the best of their function. "That" is what the forum is for IMO. is it not? I understand makeing $$ but still. Thats like patenting the conversion process itself and sucks for the common man who doesnt have lots of money to pay for the conversion. I, myself have converted one of my own and bought one already converted from CGW. Spreading my $ around when I can. I like CGW, they've done some nice work for me. But also believe such a sought after function as the LRBHO should be readily available to the masses for free. Sure If a bus

As in, you're pulling out of the parking lot at work and dumping rounds from your 7.62's??????

      That's craziness!!!!! haha

That's better than going to work and shooting your 7.62's.

      Now that's crazy:)

lmao, no, just want leave work, go home, grab the saigas and head out for some good'ol target practice. and finish sighting in my 7.62s. thanks for the good laugh though.

  5. Thank you for your post first of all and your help, I have a few more questions if you've got time? What did you attach your cleaning rod to inside the hand guards? Did the cleaning rod go into the receiver at all? When I test fitted mine, it was blocked by the screw that you attach to the hand guard. How did you get around this? Thanks again. I appreciate it Greg
  6. Its 113 where I live but not terribly humid. I would like to wait until it cools off but ive got to get my guns sighted in before my 74 brakes get here. My love of guns outweighs the temperature out side.
  7. Here is two of my x39s before and here they are now that im done with the mods Thanks to all who helped me out.
  8. I think I remeber Bigsal sayn something about Texas Weapons Systems coming out with a dogleg rail GEN 2. Looks pretty sick and its kindof what im waiting for. I think this is it http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=56806 Thanks AZG . No problem, anytime.
  9. Thats ok, I understand, no problem. I appreciate it and value your time anyways. Having someone try to help is better than no one helping at all. Thanks again man. Greg
  10. Ok, im makeing alil progress here and there. I do have another question if anyone would be so kind as to give me their advice:rolleyes: I have two cleaning rods that I just purchased to go with my two FSB that I bought . The rods do not fit into the cleaning rod hole. I was wondering what I should do. Not use the cleaning rods at all? Drill out the holes just a bit so they fit? or last resort: find cleaning rods that fit without modification? And the rods are 15.75" long which from what I can tell should go into the receiver just a bit, is this correct? Thanks to anyone who helps.
  11. Well isnt that the point. Figuring out a method of using a LRBHO without modifying your mags or receiver? If it works, that would be the ideal design IMO. And I know nothing as far as patents go but can you not improve on a design with out steping on toes or what not? Aaaaah crapshoot.
  12. well dadgum it! was really looking forward to learning something new.

  14. more sighting in today after work. Lord help me.

  15. I agree with DaveM, I ordered (2) FSB from Dinzag and got them within a week. I have currently ordered (2) 74 brakes and bayonets along with a tan set which is just about up for 2 weeks, but it does say (avg). Which from what he tells me is just waiting for postage. I have full faith in the company. Just have to understand what has already been stated above about quality company and quality parts. They do take alil bit. I for one am totally willing to wait.
  16. Im Interested! I believe the more options the better, as long as it works, can stand the test of time, and like you said, doesnt step on anyones toes or whatever, why not. I agree with L5K, about DIY. It never hurts to pitch it out there. I will probably try this on a friends Saiga 7.62 also. Hand cycling, it works. I just have to get to the range. Well I hope it does work out for you. Ill be waiting to see

  18. HAPPY FRIDAY THE 13TH

  19. It won't matter, if the end of the barrel and block are flush but metal is showing, just keep it there and touch up the little metal spot with some paint. I use dental floss tied to the buttstock, notched into the rear sight, and then pulled to the tip of the front sight, then I eyeball it a few times, then take it to the range for a real sight in. I would recommend making sure that it is sighted in perfectly and then scratch a mark, take it home and then do the drilling. Yes, the drill bits will go through the block, and a little bit of the barrel making a groove, and that will make
  20. Ok so I got it converted, bullet guide installed and test fired, no jams or anything. works great! Now im working on the FSBs on both of my 7.62s. Cut the barrel shroud off and to my suprise, found threads, but had already ordered and received (2)24x1.5mm FSBs. Which is what I would have to attach anyway being I wanted a mount for the cleaning rod and bayonet. Right now im in the process of sighting the FSBs in before I attach them permanently as stated in another thread. As far as removing the two FSBs, I did them each a different way. The first one I cut parallel to the barr
  21. took my x39s out to try and sight in the FSB and one seems ok, the other is alil to the left. bought a bore sight to remidy the situation.

  22. One thing I noticed on here is that I didn't list the price I paid for my S12. Which from reading everyone elses prices I realize how bad I got bent over. I bought mine from a store front dealer and Paid $830.00. Kick myself in the ass quite abit for not doing research first. It was the second gun I had bought from them. I also bought an m4 which sells for $950 online and I paid $1450.00. So if anybody is looking to buy an S12 or m4 or any other gun and are fortunate enough to read this, know that you can get a way better deal online transferring it through a FFL dealer. my two 762s I had tran
