  1. 18" is the shortest you can go without Federally registering it as SBS.
  2. No. You can load on closed bolt, but that was completely unimportant/irrelevant when we designed our profiling.
  3. You need a lathe to get to the proper O.D. and relieve the front of the muzzel, in front of the threads (ie: factory). We got all the machines and tools to cut/thread bbls correctly. Done it on Saigas couple dozen times. Shortened/lathe-threaded (concentric) other types of weapons bbls literally thousands of times.
  4. Back-ordered part arrived today(!!!!!!) Installed it as (literally) soon as it got here, parts are going out today. You are going to LOVE the work/precision and 'setup' you decided on....It's off the hook
  5. Same here! (On my personal gun) GB when it needs it, nothing else. Spray some Rem-oil on the internals once in a while.
  6. Thanks man! I am really unhappy with the way the pictures turned out....lots of distortions and really makes the high-polish look dull. Posted them anyway, at least you can see profiles, and they are high-polish, so no issues other than w/ the pics. Thanks again!
  7. No synthetic filler/bondo. Parkerizing ready.
  8. Shitty camera and lighting and blurry, but you can see profiles. Camera is making polish looked 'jacked', but it is not....it is smooth/shiny/high-polished. Galil Carrier Left bolt Middle bolt Perfect circumference Profile Run-out before hand blending/polishing: 0.000" Run-out after hand-blending/polishing: 0.002" Zero'd, run-out.... left side: 0.000 Run-out.... center: 0.002" Run-out.... right side: 0.000" All profiling, machine cut.
  9. Would depend on the particular machining marks, how to remove them.
  10. These are the cross-hatching marks we are removing. If your's looks different, we will need to see a detailed photo to do a qoute (time involved). Thanks. Matt C&S 636-928-1511
  11. beefcake, this is absolutely correct information. Here is a finished hashmark removed. I did this on one of our personal inventory guns, so I did it pretty quick just to get a feel for it....wasn't trying for perfection, just seeing/feeling it out. Customer guns would be done much slower w/ far more care and come out much better/perfect.
  12. Perfectly. When we are done, there are no marks.

    Round Count

Approx 5K low-brass bulk pack. Approx 300 High Brass magnums. Maybe 25 3" rounds. Zero wear
  14. We are removing the ugly cross-hatching machining marks done on some of the newer guns to cover up the old importer markings. Once the markings are removed the gun does require refinishing, as the marking area must be glass-beaded as the final process... Call for details. 636-928-1511 Matt
  15. Bolt reprofile/polish: C&S Metall-Werkes. Paulys Steelin. Cobra Customs.
  16. Since the bolts/carriers are irreplaceable, and profiling is critital. I would suggest going to someone well versed in this operation. Cobra, Pauly, and myself offer this service and we all do exceptional work. Matt
  17. Main PC up and running....we can accept emails again Sorry for inconvenience. Matt

  19. I'm using my work computer to post....I'm pc illiterate....Have no clue how to access the main pc's outlook express My pc at work, is porn and gun websites only
  20. Our main computer which has our email sytstem (outlook) on it, blew up last night. Only way to contact us right now is through phone.... 636-928-1511 Thanks Matt
  21. We do the profile/polish too.
  22. Made a post searching for a somewhat obscure part. Next thing I know, I get a phone call from Greg at C.S.S. Nicest guy in the world, and a pleasure to talk with. He went so far out of his way for me, it was incredible! I won't get into the details, but Greg supplied me with about the best customer service I have ever encountered in the weapons retail world. His products were also top notch, and worked beautifully for me! He has gained a customer in C&S! Matt
  23. Hi guys! Sorry off the board for the last couple of weeks....it's been pandimonium Truly appreciate everyone's understanding! Glad everyone is happy w/ product. All parts done on machines: *Carrier ramped front & rear...corner rounded by end-mill at rear. *Bolt rounded and ramped on machine (rounding is perfect circumfrence, no deviation, for smoothest of rotation against top cartridge)....dial indicator would show approx 0.000-0.002 run-out from hand blending/polishing. *Hammer profiled on machine. *All parts above blended & polished by hand.
