  1. I've personally installed at least a couple hundred plates in AK's and Saigas. Never had to fit any. Sometimes when they dont line up, you have to lift it back out and tap the rear towards the hammer (seating it deeper on the hammer pin). With a little bit of manipulation, I have never had one that didn't go in. Hope this helps someone.
  2. Brasso is really a cleaner....won't put a 'polish' on the bolt-assy. Reprofiling is more important than polish. Angle everything to work in conjunction, then make it slick w/ the polishing.
  3. I will get it out Friday. It is at the new shop. You are the BOMB! Thanks for the call and the generosity, can't thank you enuff!
  4. Chopped a bunch of bbl's, looking for the bbl-insert alignment tool....already have tap. Who got? Thanks!
  5. Hi Matt! Sorry for the delay, this is a one week job, not 2.5. The only thing I can say is my pet has been severely ill and I have been having to divide my time between him and work... massive head injury, vet every two days, steroids and other meds, had to take him to a veterinary school hundreds of miles away, work with him constantly, trying to teach him to walk again, hand feeding, comforting him. He is permanently brain-damaged and moves like he has cerebral paulsy. It was determined yesterday he has stabilized as good as he ever will, so my time just completely unfroze today. I
  6. Really need to either vice it and use an end-mill or use a die grinder. Drill bits walk.

    Overgassed?

Waffen, we make some of the buffers for BufferTech...we have run an AK buffer through a full-auto AK for over 60K full-auto rounds w/ no glitches. Haven't tried them on an S-12 yet. My personal gun is the 'torture/abused' tester...I'll give the buffer a try on your recommendation.
  8. Every 24" I have seen was 2-port (except one which had zero ports).
  9. Actually, it looks good....nice job
  10. I throw them in the trash and install the Krebs retainer plate.
  11. Got some S-12's coming from Cliff excellent price and great talking with him on the phone....nice guy
  12. 2nd batch (20+) in motion. Machined the propriety angles on all bolt carriers yesterday/today, blended and polished....came out beautiful. Angles are precise and perfect. Will being doing trigger pack, pins, and BHO's tommorrow and Thursday Friday and Saturday gunshop is open, and will be unable to work on them. Will be doing bolt assemblies Monday-Wednesday. Hope to ship Thursday/Friday. Guys who sent Tapco AK47 trigger packs, we will modify them for the saiga. If you are having bolt-handles and HD op-rods installed, they are on order and we will be installed as soon as they
  13. I seen one of Shannons/Cobras heat shiels come into our shop last Saturday. Looked good and fit tight. Did what it was supposed to do.
  14. I am not going to continue to do this. My 12" gun is gassed perfectly to run birdshot....no over gassing. I have never once said over gassing is good for a gun. But...If I want to beat the shit out of MY gun by running the gas wide open with hot rounds for torture testing....then that is my perogative. I have abused the living sh*t out of my prototype gun, and it shows no signs of damage or prospective damage...integrety is still there. None of the SBS's I built were over gassed and have never had a catastrophic failure. The point is mute though, as I am not even building SBS's for
  15. Glocks OK....it's kinda one of those things you shoot once or twice and then blah Thanks for the compliment
  16. I am completely sick of this. I have been in the industry a long time and never fought w/ another company, vendor or shop. This is ridiculous, I don't like it one bit, and am done argueing. Post whatever you want, I will not respond anymore. It is not worth the hassel and is making me sick to my stomach! Later.

    19" vs 24" ??

I do not "port the hell out of the barrel" I spec it w/ correct 19" ports. I am completely sick of this. I have been in the industry a long time and never fought w/ another company, vendor or shop. This is ridiculous, I don't like it one bit, and am done argueing. Post whatever you want, I will not respond anymore. It is not worth the hassel and is making me sick to my stomach! Later.

  19. Like to see some examples of your S-12, p-64, and Glock innovations and work...when you have time. OR Quit trashing me.
  20. Called a brain fart when posting, never had one? You are the nicest guy when it comes to customers and potential customers. You do a comlete 180 when it comes to any competitor doing bolt work. I have never dissed your bolt work, but you continue to dis mine, and anything else I do/did.
  21. The op-rod is held in w/ 2-dimples. 'Most' (not all) breakages come from the op-rod loosening up in the carrier, stressing the joining of the two. When I install a HD op-rod, I install the HD and end-mill a 1/8" hole through it, then add pin, and fusion weld it....never loosen again.
  22. Thanks Bro!!! Could have been one of the three registered HK full-auto sears he has stolen and cached away....If so, I'll have to pick it out of his poop If you buy a HK sear from us make sure it is the one that doesn't smell like dookie
  23. You never seen my bolt work, or machined angles, so your contradictions are absolutely mute. 10K rounds through my 12" gun and many hi-power rounds through it w/ the regulator wide open....with zero ill effects. Another 20+ 12" guns all running w/ no issue. Also a vendor/builder running an identical set-up w/ no issues. You have a theory, but it is not panning out in 'real world' usage. Also, if someone did crack/break a carrier at the threads for any reason, it is a simple fix. I would love to hear your custom gun building resume some day. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/
