  1. I picked up the sp101. Love it btw. It weighs in at 25oz. I am pretty sure and I dont mind it at all. Its about the same size and weight as my .45. I defenetly agree the grip is clingy but most likely to leave because it does feel really nice!
  2. I have to go with Clean on this one, he would whoop the shit out of him.
  3. Be sure to post pics of both! Still haven't put my order in. I'm like a woman in a purse store; I change my mind every 2 fucking minutes! I've been contemplating a Glock 26 for when my CWP gets here. So I'm flip-flopping back and forth between the G26 or SP101. Decisions, decisions. Anyway, congrats on the purchases! BTW thank you! Im the same way. I went back and forth last year when I bought my .45. This year Im gettin the revolver. If you are anything like me you will probably end up with both. I was pretty set on a Smith until I saw this thread. I went back to
  4. There you go! Words from the Master!!! BTW I am pretty sure Cadiz is no longer doing warraty work since RAAC is no longer importing. Please, do what the man said JMO!
  5. Well I ordered a SP101 today! 2 1/4" this will be my main carry. Pretty stoked, hopefully should be in by Friday. Cant wait. I also picked up the wife a S&W. Was going to get a .357 but yhey only offer the alloy ones in black (PD models). She wanted the silver finish so we just went with the .38. I do totally agree, you basically have 2 guns in 1 with the .357
  6. I would love to know what size that one hole is! Especially with 2 blocked like that, I found kit hard to believe it would run bulk on setting 1 until the OP clarified. Thats got to be a Big damn hole!
  7. If you sent it to Cadiz Im sure it would be a standard drilling the third port, and maybe polishing of the bolt. Then watch your gun like a raped....... Sounds like you got it!
  8. Now you have someone who can give you the Best advice!
  9. IMO if you can shoot bulk target loads on setting 1 than you have an issue. Unfourtunently this is about the extent of my knowledge and your gonna have to wait for some more advice.
  10. Also its assumed you are on the right gas setting. Can you shoot bulk target on setting 1?Most only had 3. I did mine with a pencil grinder to avoid taking the gas block off. there is a sticky about it. You could only see 1 and a piece of the other two. It would only run bulk with a booster puck.
  11. Can you get a pic of the trunnion? If you can see 2 more back there you need the "D" mod done. What size are the ports? Factory is .078 and most will drill them out to .093.
  12. Just a heads up everyone will want to see pics!

    Drum Mod for 3"

    Congratulations King!
  14. Pauly has a post in the AGP 10 3" feed problems thread that may be helpful, I would link it but Im pretty computer illiterate.
  15. Plastic thread protectors, different importer and extended hood are what I believe to be the only differences.
  16. Ill second that. If you get real crazy you will seek out a factory 8. You will definently want a MD drum. Otherwise AGP mags are great. Myself, I own SGM and have had no problems. I can also say that both companies and all of the vendors here would be extremely helpful if you evere did have a problem. Oh ya, welcome to the sickness!
  17. I know, nothing to do with your AGP. Throwing out my 2 cents. I keep 2 3/4 for HD. I know 3" is standard. Its close quarters 2 3/4 is plenty and wont travel as far. Everyones oh shit scenario is different. My drum is not just a toy, I keep one full of buck at all times. 12 rounder full of slug. Never in a million would I spend that kind of money on an 8rd until I bought one this summer. The 5rnd stays in the weapon. I would resolve your problem, in the same breath as much as I love the surefire I dont rely on it (never had a problem) thats what the Russian mags are for. Oh and IMHO
  18. Really "wish" thats what I did when I bought mine.
  19. The 2 1/4" has a little bit long of a grip for the pocket. Now the badger grips look like they would shorten it up but you would know better than me on that. A 3" would be big for the pocket I would say. On a side note I never thought I would carry IWB until I got my permit and now thats pretty much it. You wont know what you feel comfortable with until you carry it IMO.
  20. Ive shot an airlite .38 and it wasnt comfortable at all with the little wood grip. Im pretty sure the Ruger is going to be easier to shoot. Also it doesnt weigh anymore than my .45 does. I have always figured if I got a small revolver it would always be an S&W. I am leaning toward the sp101, in the same note I am a very indecisive.
  21. Well heres an update not that Ive got anywhere. Stopped at luch today and put both in my hands. To sum it up, I really like the Ruger. Feels really good and looks great! As far as carry goes the Smith weighs about as much as my cell phone. Which in return results in a lot harder on the hands if you are going to shoot it. By the time I put sights and a trigger job into the Ruger Id be atleast another hundred more than the Smith. So, for what it would be bought and used for I would say the S&W is the best buy. But I am really thinking about walkin out with that Ruger. Lifes decision
  22. Very clean. Nice work from my book!
  23. Ha thats funny, last night my wife told me to get the Ruger and she would get the S&W and we could compare.
