  1. Hmm, didn't realize there were so many replies. I think my notification must be turned off. I got it from RTG, http://www.robertrtg.com/berylfolder.htm. They have "good" ($99) and "Excellent" ($119) condition. I went with excellent and they didn't lie. Other than a couple very small indents in the rubber, it looks new. Locks up very tight & feels great, it feels like its original to the weapon. Like others have said, it does not lock in the folded position but is held there by tension. If you are considering this stock, you will need hardware. Just two bolts; one(1) M5x.8x6mm &
  2. The stock folds easily with the push of a button and holds tight against the stock through tension. The stock extends nice and tight and is very rigid. It was also a drop in stock, so no cutting of the tang is needed and it's much better looking than the external receiver blocks out there. Will get some range time this weekend with it. So far the only thing I have found is I wish it were just a tad longer, but overall I am very happy. ETA: I really need a new pistol grip, not liking the feel of this one with this stock.

    Is MSA MIA?

MSA, that's great! Thanks for updating everyone and keep up the good work.
  4. Okay, so I am sure I beating a dead horse here, though I hope not. It is listed as sold out on their site but did it ever come out yet? Have been reading like crazy today and can't find a good answer, did I miss something?! This is supposed to be the "Summer of the Saiga" for me and I plan to finally finish the rifle into what I've been wanting. (even picking up a second job for more $$) I have always been on the fence with the adapter then I got wind of the Bastard. Have been waiting and waiting and waiting (like everyone else).
  5. Thanks, wish I would have known about that back when I did the conversion. I like, however I don't even have my stock gas tube or stock swivel anymore.
  6. Can you post pics? I would like to see it. I have some on the way and was kinda wondering how they attach. (I realize mine may be different) Are there set screws tightened down on the barrel?
  7. I am so happy I found this forum back in '06. I was about to dump my .223, not knowing what I got myself into with 922r and all the conversion stuff. Dinzag talked me into converting it and actually did most of the work for me. I have been okay with the condition it's been in so far. (Top, obviously) But just ordered a Beryl folding stock and some railed front hand guards. And, this AK has been so much fun, I just picked up an SKS so it would have a friend. Just wanted to clarify, that is not my dragunov. It's a friend's.
  8. I can bump an entire mag from the hip but can only get about a two or three shot uncontrolled burst from the shoulder.
  9. Thanks cobra. I wasn't originally going to do the gas block but figured might as well while the FSB is off.
  10. I shoot 5.56 quite a bit. No problems.
  11. I have the larger diameter barreled. 223, .591" or something. I am wanting to change out the gas block for one with the accessory lug. Is there a certain one I should be looking for? Sorry if this is a common or frequently asked question. I can't figure out how to search in the mobile version, I am on my phone.
  12. That does look like it might be a little awkward to shoot. But you got another fan of the color scheme.
  13. Wow that is nice looking. I don't usually care for anything other than black plastic but that looks good!
  14. I use steel unless I can get brass at a close price. I plan on reloading in the future and am saving brass when I get it.
  15. Good question! I didn't realize he was selling any he didn't manufacture. I guess I will email him and find out. Thanks!
  16. I thought about it and figured I would ask here first. I didn't want him to think I am complaining about his products... I had one of his first bullet guides that was catching the nose of bullets as they entered. He was very nice and sent me a different one that works great now. I just didn't want him to think I was trying to get another out of him I guess.
  17. Hello all, been a while since I have been on! I purchased Dinzag's bolt-on flash hider a while back and then kinda got out of it for a bit. Well I am back into the love again and took my saiga (.223, I know, but there is more traffic here and it could just as well apply to you 7.62ers) out to shoot and after about 20 shots the flash hider went flying off. Took it home re-attached it and this time after the third shot it flew off. Anyone else had this problem? This is NO way a bash on Brian. He is great and I have done quite a bit of business with him. Can I use JB Weld on it or somet
  18. That was actually my first thought. Media said AK so I thought maybe Saiga. We all know how often the media gets their shit right though.
  19. Have a bad tow experience did we?
  20. Video of a guy that opens fire into a tow truck office. Looks like that is a Saiga he had. Sorry if this is old news. I did a search and didn't find anything. http://www.break.com/trutv-crazy-stupid-vids/tow-truck-shootout.html
  21. Got a pistol grip from him. Fast, good communication and best of all... CHEAP!! Thanks jeepranch.
  22. Right on, that's what I wanted to hear. Thank ya sir.
  23. So when removing the front sight block, is the "tip" of the barrell going to come off too? It's not just going to be the sight itself right. Other wise I don't think the new one will fit. Sorry for asking, but I have a flash hider on mine and I cant tell on mine. I don't want to start taking things apart untill I have the other parts. And I don't want to order the parts untill I am sure I am doing it right. Thanks again.
