Some people always complain that the AR platform isn't reliable enough. In my opinion that just means they bought a piece of shit like DPMS, Olympic, etc. or they are talking out of their ass. I've never had a single problem with any of mine but then again I buy quality (currently own BCM, Colt, Noveske, and KAC). I can also shoot circles around any AK out there with my Noveske or KAC. Where are you looking because I haven't seen those prices since a little more than a week ago? Check gunbroker now. Not a single posting near that price. Some are selling them 700 + now.

CSS and MD arms are great but they don't have any in stock and I was told they don't know when they might get any more in. Story is the same everywhere else I've called/looked. Your best bet by far seems to be kvar which has them in stock for $539. Everywhere else is either out of stock or charging a minimum of $620 with prices only going up.

Kvar is the only ones that have them in stock at a reasonable price compared to everyone else even with their high shipping. They have the basic model back in stock for 539. Average selling price everywhere else including gunbroker is 620 and up. Good luck, finding any cheaper as I'm in the same boat and frantically looking for one for my dad.

Were these for the 109BHO, or for the non-LRBHO model? The LRBHO model was held up due to weather and KVAR won't even have them till this coming Monday. I ordered two basic models two weeks ago when the price was $489 and had them within a week. Patiently waiting on the LRBHO model I ordered last Friday now. Don't you guys ordering in the past few days have any fear that the S-12 will be banned? Wouldn't you want to see what the ATF's determination will be, before buying? Just asking, because I don't have the nerve to step up to the plate, for fear of losing money. Not trying to create a problem for anybody. Depends on how much you want one and the price you find. You're a little late to the party. K-Var BHO model seems to be the best bet right now. Everyone else is pretty much out of stock or charging a minimum of $600 for the basic model.

For anyone who ordered one, I talked to K-Var and they said there was a delay in their shipment due to snow and that they will be receiving/shipping them out starting on Monday.

Have you read the study in whole? Have you read the section on drum magazines. It reads: "Further, drum magazines are generally designed to contain more than 5 rounds. Some contain as many as 20 or more rounds." The foot note refers the reader to exhibt three which is a picture of the MD20. Why is the MD20 pictured. You suggest this is evidence that the S12 by virtue of being able to accept that drum and being the only weapon that does is clearly the target of the this whole study. I have 3 models from K-Var (01, 02, and BHO). The only one that has this is the new LRBHO model (I haven't received it yet but confirmed it with the salesperson).

So I guess I've been playing way too much lately (it's about the only thing I can do during chemo). I started a new account and my current kill/death ratio is 3.25. Before I was always more of a 2 k/d ratio....lol. New gamer tag is holemoles if anyone cares to join up.

If they are not targeting Saigas, why did they choose to include a pic of an MD 20 round drum which isn't accepted in any other gun? Even Bob Ash said this is a worrying sign. Really? I've ordered from them multiple times and although their shipping cost is high they always sent it out within 2 days.

Not sure why its one per customer now but I do know that when they first posted them they had over 900 and now they have less than 50 (if the cart checkout trick can be trusted).

Buy one from KVAR if you really want one. I bought two last week and don't regret it at all. Realistically, prices are only going to be going up in the near future until this all settles out a little more. In my opinion, it's pretty obvious the Saiga is directly in the ATF's sights right now and our only hope is to change their mind during this open time to comment. It's anyones guess if they will listen though.
