A dremel and some cratex wheels is really all you need to do a polish job, and with cratex there's not much risk of hurting anything. Profiling is pretty easy and hard to mess up unless you go crazy, if you're scared of profiling everything then yea of course go with Pauly. Cratex will certainly de-bur and polish everything up like a mirror in a hurry. With the stock puck or with the GOUSA twister puck and on setting 4 for the largest gas, I still get occasional FTE with Federal low brass from wally mart. I was thinking after Pauly's polishing job, maybe it'll help. Maybe not... I'm down to test one out. I shoot bout once a month or so and 200+ shells a session as my buddies use my firearms too.

I was just wondering if you think it might prove beneficial (more smooth cycling, less build-up) if you polish the gas puck to a mirror finish. not removing much material really, just light jewelers polish to shine it up. What about possibly polishing the inside of the gas tube to try to shine that up so that its smoother? Not sure... just thinkin out loud here.

CSS says "Installs with flat side marked "GO GUN USA" towards the back of the gun ETAC" So in english... Does this mean when putting it in the tube the flat side which says GO GUN USA" goes in first? There is a side with a nub, the other is flat. does the nub go towards the gunfixer? I know it's stupid, duh right? But please just give me a definitive answer so I know? I swapped out back to the stock as I wasn't 100% sure.

I picked up my Arsenal Saiga-12 on Friday and shot it on Saturday. I went to a conversion party on Sunday, had everything done and re-installed all but the bolt hold open. Tonight when I got home I followed the CSS video and another one on YouTube (2 part) to install it. Everything seems to have gone perfectly except that I cannot install my selector. It seems that the BHO is in the way. Did I do something wrong? I don't see how this would have ever worked in my rifle before, but it must have? Maybe my BHO piece got swapped with someone elses at the party? Maybe I need to remove the FC

The drum or magazine if greater than 10 rounds must have been brought in to California prior to 2000 for it to be legally used in your mag-locked Saiga-12. The problem is that all these neat-o high capacity drums didn't exist back then. If you are unfortunate enough to be the guinea pig caught by LEO and asked about this, you can't say you had it in 1999, and it isn't a re-build for one that you had back then but broke, since they didn't even exist. I agree, and it takes a bit of love to get them to function flawlessly, but damn, I've never shot it and NOT had a smile on my face. I wouldn't recommend it for home defense though, because you'd shoot the guy and then call the police (or call the police and then shoot the guy) and when the police got there you'd still be smiling and admiring your gun. That would kinda look bad in court... This video concerned me for using a shotgun for home defense. It was a common problem for them to begin flaking off on the 01-02 GSX-R 1000's. I had 2 buddies get their forks replaced way back in the day under warranty.

I read through the pages of that thread. It seems like you have a nice product which is well received. I didn't know that typically the inside of barrels is threaded and the choke is installed that way. It seems that is the way the poly-choke is installed from what I read? I don't want to deal with all that, so quick swap to a full choke like yours (that looks decent too) seems ideal. I don't see a notch in your adapter to lead me to believe you need to torque it down, so is it just put on by hand, good-n-tight? I started my CA DROS on my Saiga-12 earlier this week. I am attending a conversion party later this month, so I already bought everything necessary to get this thing fully converted and functioning as the lord meant it to function. With that said, I honestly am not certain what my main purpose for this shotgun will be. I thought it would be fun to shoot here and there and definitely good for SHTF, but I was concerned that it might not do to well for shooting clays.
