I also find this subject interesting. There is a film called "trigger effect" that plays out a senario of a extended power outage and the effects it has on the general public. Another film I find interesting is "collapse", it's a documentary about the oil peak and how the diminishing supply will lead to our demise. Anyone else watch the films I have mentioned and/or have similar movies they'd recommend?

If I didn't know better I'd think y'all are trying to keep the the good guns away from Yankees/Californians! As I understand it, you can have a Saiga 12 if it's shipped with the bullet button/mag lock already installed. Then proceed to convert it to 922r compliant but with only one of the two options- pistol grip or folding stock but not both.

Ya you can't weld aluminum to steel, how intricale are these magwells that are out there? Seems like you could make something similar out of steel for the cost of the aluminum bolt ons. What kind of mag catch do the magwells use, AR type?

Is there a way to "clean" things up with out ending up with a mirror finish on the bolt/carrier? I don't care for the flashy-ness to been seen. Thsnks

In this day and age why do vendors/distributers brokers/ middle men even exist? Why not be able to buy our guns direct considering these companies rarely offer even the simplilist of costumer service? We web surfers do the research while these salesmen do is take our info and ship our product. I'm all for a free market but don't care for the many hands that get to dip in the pot of gold!

I was wondering what the Grip/Trigger Frame Conversion is and what it includes? I am planning on doing a basic conversion and plan on using the AR trigger guard.thanks Carmon
