  1. The 1913 spec is a NATO wide standard and my rail isn't. It's bigger which does allow some minor milling the risers or optic mount of your choice. That's what I did instead of hacking up the upper.
  2. Do a yahoo or google search for "1913 rail" or "picatinny rail specs" and you should find links for dimensions. I'm presuming you have a set of dial or digital calipers.
  3. Bullshit. I have an out of spec rail. I had to modify several risers to get the fit and height I wanted for my DeltaPoint. Where do you get this and how dare you spread this pantload without proof. BTW I have spokent to Clyde and Tony both personaly and they acknowledge it. It isnt a knock on RAA or anyone else. It is just something that slipped thru the cracks.

    Way to quiet.

Double stack would be the best way but I wouldn't care if they come in a single stick.

OK, other than Tony making some headway on parts which we all hope to be out soon is there any scuttlebut, rumors, inuendo, gossip or just guessing on when mags will hit the market and in what form? Id like to just see a 12 round mag body with a new spring. But an all new mag ready to go wouldnt suck either.
  6. I have no advice. Mine shoots down to 1145 stuff and I now use 1200fps 1 1/8oz loads without issue. BUT I have not got more than 500 or so rounds thru it. Now waiting on more 922 and mags. Maybe take it apart, look over all parts and clean it.
  7. The easy awnser is. Shoot it.
  8. We buy that stuff by the case at work. Its OK but I will stay with Break Free.
  9. I will get one but probably wait till more of your parts are done. Maybe when you get them all out you could package them together as a "922 compliance" package.
  10. Its the indian not the arrow and you may want to consider the 922 thingy first. I think that is one reason were not hearing much about high cap mags YET!
  11. What mount are you using for your dot
  12. DING DING!!!! I had the same issue with the 3" mag. Filed it like you mentioned and now its fine.

    spare barrels

I was curious if anyone has heard yet if spart parts are for sale yet. Im kind of interested in a barrel for getting, doing some comp work.
  14. Mine is 11. 00087, I plucked those metro sexual gems out as soon as I finished the pre-range cleaning...... So now you have no jewels?? Eunuch? It'll certainly shoot the lighter loads now. Not to mention be lazy and get fat.

  16. Some of us look at something like that and think of the potential it has and all those cheesy little things that can be replaced with much better upgrades and that's why it's attractive instead of a toy. Little cosmetic details and crap don't bother me at all. I never even shot mine, stripped it down to the last part right out of the box and began designing way better features. It's early....give it time, it's gonna be big. That's the one problem I have with the price...sure it has features that an unconverted Saiga doesn't, but that only counts if you're just shooting it out of the box
  17. They are not that bad and down the road people may actually pay a premium for them.

    Range report

Mine runs Winchester bulk, federal bulk, Brenekke home defense slugs and even ran a full box of federal 1145fps stuff. I did have a few glitches in the first few mags with lowpower stuff. And I had the bushing. Now its an omnivorous.
  19. The 1919 is quite different than an M4, is it not? i had an h bar A2. it is quite a bit different from that and the m4. i just dont like the configuration. the way it charges, the way things kept running at your, etc... the other weapons akdal produces look cheaper than a saiga. i wish you guys the best of luck with your shotguns but I think I'm going to stick to my tac47 saiga. i really want to see a torture test with a round count done to one. if i win the lottery, i'll go to work on that! Good for you. Now if your not interested why dont you quit complaining about somet
  20. Regardless of your personal budget, this gun is a great value. It's not possible to buy a new Saiga-12 and a PG conversion, top rail, magwell and LRBHO for $700. I have yet to see that combination of materials hold up on anything and the fact that they didn't get the rail to spec really concerns me. Vee shall see. Which "combination" of materials are you refering to? A plastic lower and a metal upper like a Glock, or like a CavArms AR-15....which handled a full auto 50AE upper no problem by the way. The rail is being changed to Nato milspec on future shipments. The
  21. Well I will guess I have a couple hundred thru mine but it's been so hot I have not had a chance for more. What I found cool is it has run Winchester bulk, the bane of the Saiga, plus stuff down to 1145FPS. Not a single burp after one or two in the first few mags. And that's with the bushing. Now I want to see some with high round counts to failure as well.

    Bushing questions

Go to the Tromix webpage with the pic. Take off your handgaurds if you can. Compare.
  23. There is only one bug, the rail. Other than that I can already say with hicap mags my Saiga will be pushed to the back of the safe. no need to push it back! sell that saiga to me and get a whole bunch of ammo for your akdal! I'm hoping the akdal becomes tremendously popular and the price of the saiga drops down. It will be hard to convince people that akdal is a legit quality company. I'm still quite skeptical. Two of the most trusted saiga converters have already said they are awesome so that's a real plus. Once they are fielded and torture tested, I may bite the bullet. quite
