  1. I bought a G2 double claw and was a bit surprized to find it provided trigger slap. I thought it would be nice to try a double claw but now I'm wondering if it would be safe to remove a smidge of medal from the top of the claws to reduce the slap some? It's not much, mind ya, but I have no slap with a G2 single claw in my other rifle. Any thoughts?
  2. Tiny- just read a post about someone having trouble installing the K-var bullet feed. Shame on me- no specifics about why they had woes or what exactly it took to overcome. For all I know- it might have been a 2 sec dremel tool operation til victory. Some folks posting are about as insightful as my lab pup telling me he needs to pee. Not sure I mentioned that there are Saiga 30 round mags available..ya gotta dig like a labrator. There is also a possibility of other stock Saiga mags upcoming but I shall hold my tongue til the deed is done.... I love my goverment and the ATF fellas
  3. If you get 'em to make pre-ban 410-10 round mags and send me one for $50 including shipping...I'll send you $50 worth of Hershey almond bars... THE 30 ALMONDS PER BAR ones!
  4. Green with envy. My 1st .45 was a Springfield model- nothing fancy. I've had and sold numerous makes and models and currently carry a glock but I sure miss having a 1911 around to launch .45 hunks of medal.
  5. Gun Porn Gun Porn Gun Porn! I'd like to see some pics please. I used button heads with nuts at first but then began to wonder if the reciever needed the structural support that I took away so I went to Ace hardware and found some threaded posts.
  6. Speak ramblings and carry a big peace sign. The guy is a peacenick and will get us a killed. I guess I can't call him a peacenick after reading,"Setting Straight Kerry's War Record". I'll just call him a nut. He doesn't straddle the fence at all. He jumps back and forth over them no matter what the fence is. I did vote for them-I didn't..I did kill civilians..I didn't. I dislike the man more than ever. Now when I hear he is a 'war hero' I'll just

  8. I'm pretty sure you can still use it. I left mine out just because...I didn't like it in there. BlackJack also makes or sells mag followers that will hold back the bolt too.
  9. Hmm.. Whats does the grey part do for my 410? I've never seen that on my other trigger assemblies. Can I use a Tapco G2 instead?
  10. A sleeve like the one in the trigger assembly you took out of the stock Saiga. Here is how it should work..if you don't pull on the tigger at all..the disconnector never catches the hammer. If your are sure that you have the COMPLETE Tapco trigger assembly in there and the trigger assembly is not hanging up on the receiver anywhere..I would send it back and try another set. I'm not saying the new trigger assembly is at fault but it is the safer bet before you do anything else. You got any AK buddies nearby? I'm in PA..you can come try my trigger. I know you gotta be frustrated and worried.
  11. Ok..Polish it is. AIM has 'em for $10 ea. Hope that is a good price. Seems so. THANKS!
  12. Well..I didn't like how small the ring was and messed around and lost it. If I could have found it I would have put it back on and called it a day but I lost it. Here is what I did. Thought it might help someone. http://www.atigunstocks.com/ (look under the AR15 sling attachment) It installed easily.
  13. Hiya cscottrc and welcome! First off..careful where you post if you want fast replies. This is the "For sale or trade" section and I'm assuming your not selling or trading yet-right? What make is it? A Saiga in 7.63x39? If it is a Saiga..it is also an AK in sheep's wool and they all have lots of travel built-in to the trigger. Just the way they are. I'm not sure how the stock Saiga tunes up with another trigger group. I did a pistol grip conversion to my Saiga which eliminates the trigger tranfer mechnism of the stock Saiga. I put in a G2 trigger group from Tapco and it feels real g
  14. There sure are alot of magazines to choose from. Which ones work best for the converted 7.63 Saiga and who has them in stock? I'd prefer sythetic if they hold up well. Thanks ahead~ Ned
  15. It's kinda of hard to get in there and measure. Fairly large..about the size of a 1/4 inch.
  16. I can't make heads or tails of what I see in that pic. I took a pic of mine but I can't tell whats-what from my pic either. Lets see if someone else can help faster than I can. If not..I'll take a picture of them outside the rifle. Is that a 308 caliber? I can't tell what I'm seeing there but it looks like the back of your disconnect is sitting atop of something so the spring can't return it flush with the bottom of the receiver like mine does.
  17. Would anyone like to comment or better yet..prove this! I have a Saiga 410 and I would very much like to shorten the butt stock so my kids can enjoy this shotgun. I'd settle for any type of stock that would let me put the trigger parts back where they should be and allow me to install a(any type) shorter stock. (I'm willing to forgo the 10 round mags..or atleast save 'em for a rainy day. If I did the euro conversion correctly-thats a $70 hunk of polymer)
  18. I find it hard to believe that parts companies have been so slow to react to the Saiga with after market stocks and parts specificallt targeted to the Saiga. I think some aftermarket parts are coming for the Saiga and I'm watching for them. I'm assuming from your pic you have seen the one at Blackjack's that would mount to the 'other' forearm. http://www.blackjackbuffers.com/bjbcatalog3.html I'm in a real pickle myself. I need a shorter stock for a Saiga 410 so my kids can enjoy some shotgun shooting but the only fix I know of is to do a non-nato stock and PG conversion which will
  19. Thats the kind of bulk ammo I need!
  20. Ouch! 410 ammo is kinda pricy compared to its larger brother shotshells. I best start looking into reloading them things.
  21. Here's 2 I was always taught to yell: STOP! PLEAZE! (you can't tell I said please or police) OR I"LL SHOOT! A witness might be able to save your bacon on the stand.
  22. So I'm sitting here tonight, half watching this movie Tigerland and half wondering where I'll hide Easter eggs tomorrow and half daydreaming about which guage or model Saiga shotgun might suit me best and I'm wondering..what's the big deal about pistol grips anyhow?! A rifle or shotgun with a pistol grip is inherently more lethal than my Remington 870 or my 7400 or was it some political way to weed out the weapons that someone decided belongs on the 'blacklist' ? Hate to sound 'dah' but I never owned any blacklist type weapons before. The only reason I decided to pick up an AK in the
