  1. Hi All, I can't find one to buy so hows about some pictures of how external poly-chokes work.
  2. DHunter, If you have a dial calibur..hows about measuring the inside of the end of your barrel for me? I'm curious. Do you have the polychoke version? Do you have the rifled choke on her?
  3. I'm peerdy darn pleased with my self-compact Saiga. Without doing any serious patterning and just offhand firing with stock sights..I'm getting 9-00buck from Federal 2 3/4" into a 12" circle at 25yards and fist size slug grouping.

    Saftey Lever

Turn it up to the 12 o'clock position and the pull it away from the receiver.
  5. Anyone care to show some targets or do some pellet counting? I don't have anything to compare my patterns to. Hows about 3'x3' (I think wrapping paper is about 3' wide) targets at 25yards. I took out some Winchester 2 /34 mags of 12 pellet 00buck. Looked pretty thin at 25yards. Might be the best I get with my cutdown 22" barrel. I think it is still choked too tight. Time will tell.
  6. Here's what happened.. The stock g2 won't travel to the hammer unless you grind off a smidge. No biggy but it sure had me worried for a moment. The blurry pic of my thumb and the hammer shows it at full travel..before grinding..it can't hit the firing pin.
  7. Nope- I'm right..it doesn't fit without grinding a smidge.
  8. ah..err......nevermind. I win the boobyprize!
  9. S! All What do you all prefer for a red-dot type scope on your Saiga and where did you purchase? Thanks ahead~Ned
  10. Anyone want to take at stab at this? I don't have a good answer~ written down.
  11. Hello. The sum of your purchase including shipment - $92. My 410 just went up in price..92 dollars.
  12. The stock 22" is .680 (which I would consider Xtra-full and for lead shot only) and if you cut it down to 19" it will be about .715(improved cylinder). True cylinder bore would be .730 and I don't think an extra inch down to 18" is going to deliver cylinder bore. I just cut my to 19" just to see if I can(dremel butcher) and I'll probably take it down to legal limits..now that I'm sure I won't be above cylinder bore. There's alot of steel on that barrel so I'm not too worried of shooting slugs thru the .715.
  13. What is the measurement of improved vs cylinder bore?
  14. Ahhhh!!! Now I need to hurry and get my stuff! I fiqured I had alittle time before everyone saw the Russian folding stocks and the 410 chokes and the 2 round mags for conversion. Just kidding..been thinking about the 2rnd mags though after seeing that mag conversion.
  15. Well..she's cut now so we shall see..soon...waiting on KVAR now...I'll let you know how it functions with 00.
  16. No ideas? Didn't anyone cut down their 22" barrel. I'm wondering if I'll run into any malfuctions due to lack of pressure to pushback the bolt? I'll take your best guess.
  17. Hi all, Do you think my Saiga would perform lousy with double odd buck and slugs if I shorten my 22" barrel myself...Here at Bill the Butcher's custom Saiga Shop?
  18. Why does that screw up the plans for the front sight? Doesn't it just clamp onto the barrel? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Screws up plans to buy a thread-on flash suppressor..sorry.
  19. Has anyone had any trouble getting their Saiga to function after shortening the stock barrel? Mine is a 22" model and I was going to cut it back to 18 1/4 and have it tapped for remchokes...kinda screws up my plan for using the screwed on FS though.
  20. I'm up for that when the snow storms clear!
